I wonder how much the pawn shop in the first link paid for them . -

You Go Joe , Great News !

I agree , also check out Funny Car Summer . It's a doccumentary of Big Jim Dunn during the time of his rear engined Barracuda Funny Car . The only successful rear engined Funny Car ever . Oh , I almost forgot , American Nitro may be the best drag racing doccumentary ever .

BS ! The last 3 cats I had were run over . I waited 5 years to get another one and decided I would do the responsible thing and keep him inside . He does not know any better and is very well behaved . Go ahead and get the critter declawed but don't say I did not warn you . My parents declawed their present cat and that thing is Evil Incarnate . [6] With an inside outside cat you may get lucky . Or you may end up burrying a pet that you grew very fond of .

Michael , congrats on the KHorns ! Didn't see that one commin' . While I can't comment on the 72's , I will say that my 76 Belles have a MUCH better veneer job than my single 78 or my pair of 85's . I wonder what went down . The 76's are almost seamless while the others are downright blocky . Must have been some kind of change over in the veneer department at Klipsch . Willy

ME !!! I gotta say , if you have never been to a national event , you owe it to yourself to check those awe inspiring machines out ! If for nothing more than shaking the impacted wax out of your ear canals ! [li][li][li]

I agree with Frzn , your best bet is to wait until you find a pair within driving distance . But they can be shipped by frieght successfully . I purchased my first pair of Belles last summer from a guy in Taccoma Wa . He specified local pickup only . Well once I won them I broke the bad news to him . I was 2,900 miles away . I called a shipping broker , American Frieghting Services , and received several options on carriers and services . The seller had looked into custom boxes for the Belles before he decided on local pickup only . On my end I arranged for the frieghting and the seller purchased the custom boxes . Which I paid for . He wraped the Belles in plastic and surrounded them with styrofoam within the boxes . Roadway , the frieghting company I went with , came to his place with a liftgate truck and picked them up . 5 days later they were here without a scratch ! If you went this route I would suggest that you be very anal with the frieghting company . Once I settled on Roadway , I let them know exactly what they were picking up and how I wanted them to be handled . They definitely lived up to their end of the deal . I will say it was not cheap , almost $500.00 , but in my case it worked out . Good luck and remember , your results may vary .

Truely WTF !!! -
Get a good scratching post for the critter . With my present cat I have had no problems with him damaging my speaker grills . He does like to get into the top hat cubby hole . My cat is inside only , "they live longer that way" . He also has all his claws , "how would you like to have all your fingernails removed ?" . Be aware , as with any pet you are responsible for it , and need to provide proper care and nurturing . That said , Welcome to the Club .

OT: Attn motorheads re: synthetic oil in a lawn mower
sunburnwilly replied to Mighty Favog's topic in General Klipsch Info
Using that oil in a 2 cycle is a no no . I used a 2 cycle Lawn Boy for years , they are great mowers . Don't muck em up . No Crankcase . -

That can't be a rating for all distortion...must be a measurement of THD alone or something like that. Things like IMD are facts of life and cannot be worked around... What is the going price for the DTS-20? (including the amp with signal processing that they recommend to go along with it). I was under the impression that it was quite a bit more expensive. Their website claims .5% at max output typical . It does not say what paticular distortion is being measured . I think . [:|]

Yep the Danley is one big badd#ss sub . Too big for my situation . Single digit distortion sounds good , but not as good as the Velodyne DD15 or DD18 . Distortion is claimed to be .5% at max output !

I would go for Honesty , Trust and Understanding . IMO

Help, S.V.P.: What Are Black Klipschorns Worth???
sunburnwilly replied to Stephen D.'s topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Whatever your willing to pay . As an option from Klipsch they are just a step above raw birch . -
DrWho This is concerning something Roger touched on . If your processor is not Ultra 2 certified , how much does this limit an Ultra 2 sub's output ? Thanks

I would think the DD would move more air if it was ported as well .
