  1. Dang Rich, I knew I remembered OldBuck not being fond of vinyl but I sure was not going to the PI level[] I like the OldBuckster especially when he comes back at my boy Clarence with a good one. I understood his quest for knowledge but also knew vinyl was a very low priority for him also! Sorry OldBuck, Vinylistas get fired up quick[]
  2. Ah yes, I see you dropped some G for one of those Cj's! Hopefully you can get the noise out without a big layout[] Just wanted to make sure it made it there[]
  3. Sometimes you really have to be tenacious if you want to teach an "OldBuckster" something new[] I know he likes to get a dig in now and then and what a better buch to take a snip at than the Vinyl-Sauruses or as some refer to us as the "Snap, Crackle and Pop" kidz[] Rich, did you get that remastered copy yet?
  4. So true, the Japanese firm that bought all the pics I stole from Seti last year was offering to triple my pay if I could get them 18 to 20 really good shots of the milling operation so they could figure out how to copy PWK's designs[] I'm going in with a lapel camera this year in hopes of skirting this issue[]
  5. Not sure if it was distortion, SPL or shear power but in 1984 I attended the Rush "Grace Under Pressure" show at Odessa Convention Center and it was my first and last time to have my ears ring for a solid 3 hours after the show (which was incredible I might add[]) I did not feel uncomfortable during or after the show other than the ringing which subsided very slowly over that next 3 hours. I did however decide from that day forward live shows required that I carry a pair of plugs with me from then on
  6. Exactly the reason mine say for the annual block party[<)] Beautiful place by the way[] I just came back from beautiful GREEN Tn[]
  7. [] Should I bring my Legacy Edition or my new 30th Annivesary version?
  8. As you know by the variety you just received I love alt versions[] I'm not afwaid[8-|] Oh Yeh! Dunt Dunt Dun....Dunt Dunt Tadun:-)
  9. I remember a time when you could just skip to any rock station in the area at anytime and you could probably hear "Smoke On The Water" 30+ times in one 24 hr day! As much as I love the Purp this tune got way too much airplay[+o(]
  10. Anytime Picky, I would also like to say excellent job on both the house and theatre[]
  11. I stand corrected on the V & VII covers[:$] As I sit here and listen to the 1967 to 1998 volume II CD[]
  12. CrazyTube, sounds like you came into some nice cash young man! Gryphon and K-Horns[] Can't tell you what my BAT VK200 does to the LaScalla's but it's sure different than 2A3 mono's[] I would love to be able to AB my BAT and that Gryph[:S]
  13. Craig, very sorry to hear of your loss and please know many are keeping you and your family in our prayers.
  14. You are right Thebes, this thread is the bomb if not for finding new music but just reminding me to pull out that old Frank Marino album or one of my favorite Tull albums "A Little Light Music" just in case Grog don't have it he needs it and I need to pick his 10 year favorite up[] So much great music, so little time[] As I was just telling Colter I have 3000 sticks of vinyl and 1000 CD's and I just keep finding more[]
  15. Sweet Picky, can't wait to meet you and the missus! I sure hope to get a copy of whatever you put together for the event[] Did you need us to bring anything like DVD r's or I have access (I hope) to a 3 tray duplicator.
  16. Carnegie & V are my favs and I do believe my favs from the Carnegie set are from the first album[] So true on V looking like a double as it took some nice tooling to create that cover to look and feel like worked leather[] Speaking of bands during that era with horns I have the original first run of the little known band "The Ides of March" who did the little number "I'm Your vehicle" baby! My first job in High School was working as an animated character at AstroWorld and these guys had a standing contract with the theme park back in the mid 70's. Man I'm gettin' old[:'(]
  17. As opposed to Colt and Oldtimer's Eno I have 4 of the new CD remasters of his vocal offerings in "Another Green World", "Before & After Science", "Here Come The Warm Jets" and "Taking Tiger Mountain" Another bunch of new remasters that have been gettin' a lot of airplay are the first 6 Free releases with tons of alt versions as bonus tracks! Paul is still one of my favorite rock voices of all time[] Newer artist! I can't seem to get enough of Ben Harpers "Diamonds On The Inside" as I find it a spiritual recording[]
  18. I don't really know for sure but for Heritage at 104db 1W/1M it's got to be the equivalent to 3000 W/RMS[] I think one of these amps on your Jubilee mains might just be the ticket for ULTIMATE HT[] Hmm; Jubi mains, Scally center, corn rears and who needs a stinking SUB[]
  19. As Woody told Sid.......................Bee Nice[6] I'm sorry, my 3 and 5 year olds tied me down and made me watch that movie[8-|] 100 times[:$]
  20. For thos of you who just can't seem to get enough power to yer PWK Specials[] http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?ampstran&1151688483
  21. He did have obo on it Craig, just thought I'd post for the interested[]
  22. Stopped listening to radio about 20 years ago when the last of the underground stations went down[] Everybody always ask me how I get to here new music and I say live shows, friends and indie baby[] I have been thinking of picking up a nice vintage tube tuner but then why, we have no really good stations left[:@] I can run my own tunes as well as digital radio so why waste CD money on a tuner! With all that said I rarely get burned out on anything any more except for the little misus listens to the same stuff over and over[]
