  1. I am assuming that your new place is a rental? If so, my suggestion would be to purchase some foamboard insulation and cut it to fit tightly to the wall where the gap is. It would not have to extend beyond the speaker at all as you are within inches of the back wall and would achieve most of the corner loading that is available. Or...you could leave the top portions unattached to the bass bins and then maybe the bass bins would be able to fit snugly against the back wall?? Or...one last suggestion...simply attach enough plywood to cover the half of the bass bin that is not snug to the wall...again, extending this beyond the speaker itself would have limited usefulness. Good luck to you.
  2. I don't think you should be teasing these guys JB....
  3. Yup, sounds like you have lost your neutral(common) wire somewhwere...shouldn't be to hard to trace if the problem is at the panel. I do have a question though. Is the switch box inside the bathroom a single gang box and if so, how deep is it? If it is a single gang, you may have too many wires in there as far as code is concerned...if it is possible, you might want to move either of the 2 wire cables to the outside switch box...
  4. Well, why not?? I see from your pics that having proper corners for K's might be a problem???....might as well put backs on em and brace up real good while your at it. You really should hear the difference for yourself if you can swing it...just a big effortless room filling sound. Now, speaking of wine, I think I might indulge in a glass or two of Aussie red myself...Cheers.
  5. If I had access to your cabinet making skills, I would go ahead and build the Khorn bins just to "hear them for yourself". .....come on soothe, its just a few more sheets of plywood [6][6][6]
  6. Interesting that Ryan Miller was the only player from either hockey team that showed up for the closing ceremonies...kudos to him for that and also for his outstanding play.
  7. She's the one...don't know that much else about her...from Montreal
  8. Amazing talent, she just turned sixteen years old yesterday...she sings many different styles of music (great jazz singer) but I really like her cover of Norah Jones' "Don't Know Why" is a link.... Be sure to check out all her RAWsession videos...
  9. How bout "Bad Santa"...now there is a xmas classic for ya.
  10. Just curious if anyone else has read this book and what your impressions are...
  11. When you do get around to reading it, I would love to hear your review...
  12. Hey Doc...if you have not read his book yet, I highly recommend it. "Sound Reproduction Loudspeakers and Rooms" This guy really knows his stuff.
  13. ...and another Loudspeakers%20and%20Rooms%20-%20Working%20Together.pdf

  15. I Just discovered that a few Canadian online retailers handle some of the Klipsch headphones....London Drugs and Tigerdirect.ca
  16. And I know this has been asked and answered before Amy, but will these be available at any Canadian retailers any time soon??
  17. To winterize a home that will not be heated over the winter, what we do is either (A) set up all the water lines so that they slope to a drain cock and add antifreeze to all drain traps or ( drain and isolate the water heater and then fill all the water lines and drain traps with an RV antifreeze. (You need to have a shutoff valve on both the cold and hot lines at the water heater so it can be isolated and not filled with antifreeze...) We use a small pump to fill the water lines with the antifreeze. I might also suggest that you get the necessary crimping tools and fittings for PEX water lines...much easier to work with and somewhat more frost tolerant... Good luck!!
  18. Nice views!! Looks like it would make a nice little par 4 dogleg left...
  19. You're still taking Chantix??
  20. Had the pleasure of hearing her and her band in concert a few nights ago...Jeff Hamilton on drums (fabulous), Anthony Wilson on guitar (outstanding) and new to me, Robert Hurst on bass. Real nice show...105 minutes with one encore. Nothing from the new cd though...just the old standards (which was just fine with me) Great sound setup and it looked like they were all having a great time up there....
  21. Nice work Greg!! Very interesting upgrade. I have a question that is probably best answered by DeanG. Where do the ALK Jr networks fit into this discussion? Will they work with the 2" drivers??
  22. I agree that the issue of trust is huge....My question is whether we can ever achieve renewed trust without some very serious regulation and consequences for those who choose to abuse this trust....
