I think this comes down to how bad someone wants it. If it was me, I would just lay down the large! They are not building any "new" belles anymore and how much would they cost? Waht is all this drama about a few hundred dollars anyway? What other speakers can you buy that has the vibe and sound? To each his own i guess, it seems ashame to let them by like that,just go for it ,we are here for a short time!

WOW!!!! What is wrong w/ you cheapskates!! Anti-up!! I paid $2600 for mine and they weren't even matched!! Anyone who will buy them will not be disapointed,If I had the $$$$ i would buy them and sell my other ones (individually).......at a premium of course!

Corey,did you check how much a new pair of La scala's cost?? Why on earth everyone here (most) think 1500 is alot is beyond me. Would anyone on this board sell their speakers for less?? And how much would it cost to replace them? Stp nickel and diming..go have a listen and decide.....$1500 doesn't buy you much today...

I don't get it..why are some of you mad that belles sold for $2700?? How much would a new pair cost (if they made them)?? Certainly they would cost more than $2700..... right? Not many speakers have the aura and looks of Klipsch,thats part of it too, let alone not having to spend much $$$$ on high powered amps.

I collect vintage guitars and vintage marshall amps. I'm not sure about Martins but I know how much electrics are worht. FYI.......... 59 lespauls w/ flamed maple tops are in excess of $200,000! Maple neck Stratocasters from 1954 to 1957 for 8.5 cond and up are Min $35,000 and more. For pristine examples of 50, and 60's strats, custom colors and such are $40 to 50K.........

Your right Rich,you can't replace your belle's,except w/ other belle's! Good luck finding good Khorns for under 3k! With new ones retailing for around 7K I would think one would be foolish to except anything less than 4 to 5K.

Woops! Yes it was in Conn. Drove 190 miles in POURING rain up through winding unbelievably fogy roads......I thought I never would find the house! Well worth the trip. I'm running them through the new Mcintosh MC2102 ,and c2200 tube amps. Using nos Telefunken preamp tubes. Right now I'm using my Khorns but I think the corners aren't working (closet and baseboard in the way. I might rearange the room though and make it work,Right my darling,sweet,understanding wife??

Well, I still don't think anyone of you guys would part w/ your Khorns for less than 3K would ya?? My point is ,is that in my (humble) opinion you cannot by a nice pair of Khorns for under 3K. What prices were in the past does not mean it will equate the future, Another question is,if you guys sold your Khorns,how much would it take to replace them? (assuming your replacing them w/ Khorns). All in all,if brand new Khorns are 6k plus,I would buy used,let someone else soak up the depreciation....

What is so hard to believe? The auction hardly qualifies it to be "shill" bidding. 3 transactions and 20 for the other guy is unbelievable!? Not for nothing but considering the price of new ones I would think its a bargain!! I paid 3k for my used "unglorious" K horns and was GLAD!! How much would you sell yours for??

I just paid 3k for my horns from ebay.... Got them from Fla,shipping via fedex (here tomorrow)!! serial # 9p912 (i think), what year are they........?

Well in all honesty I don't have my Khorns yet,they will be arriving TOMORROW! The thing is ,is that I like my belle's (luv the way they look) but it is lacking in bass,would they be good for "the rear speakers" in my soon to be home theater, or perhaps just use 1 for the front and sell the other? (they are not consecutive serial #) Hope its ok to post this question here,should I perhaps ask this in the theater group........?

I'm a newbie NO nuthin guy,but I do have a pair of belles and Khorns.....in your opinion what would be the ideal subwoofer for the speakers mentioned? I am aware the belles are good to 57 hrtz and horns 37? Please advise........ Thanks!!

Well, I took matters into my own hands.....(oh brother)! I am an extremist and decided to buy a pair of klipschorns and a set of belles that i recently won on ebay!! Yipee and hooray....!! I will be picking up the belles tomorrow and hopefully the horns will arrive (safely) from florida by Fri. So far I am only in the "stereo mode" and will be running 2 of the "new" Mcintosh MC 2102 tube amps and C1000 or C2200 preamp ....haven't decided yet. Can't wait! Iv'e been collecting 60's "Marshall amps" for years and Vintage guitars as well and I figured that I am probably a better listener than player and shift my focus to the reproduction of music than trying to play it! My wife is glad....wait till she hears me jamming along w/ my faves and Klipsch speakers.......!!

Hi, I'm new to this board[] and I am (slowly) building up my 'entertainment" center. What would be the best speaker for the center channel?? I'm gonna use some belle's that I have for the sides, Also what about the surround speakers.... The room is 28L X 24W X 8 ft high...... Thanks!
