  1. i think you have to be holding the bottle of dr. pepper...if you want it to be official.
  2. i believe the expanded Kelvin scale is for measurements from infinity and beyond.
  3. Anyone tried Dr. Pepper Seventeen? Some Jack Daniels, Old No. 7 and Dr. Pepper TEN. May be an improvement???
  4. funny, when i was a kid we would freeze it and make popsicles.
  5. [Y] i have a treasure chest of shilling in the basement, right next to my pirate's treasure; i've been waiting for this day for quite some time.
  6. i've never even heard of it and sounds like i'm not missing much. i'll drink a diet coke; but, i used to love dr. pepper.
  7. i shouldn't comment on the colts at this point; being a Raider fan has left me embarrassed after their horrible performance yesterday.
  8. had mine a couple of years ago before i was even 50 (due to some other gastro issues). One tiny polyp removed--non-cancer. i lucked out as i didn't have to drink any magic potion. doctor gave me some horse pills to take every 15 minutes or 30 minutes over a two hour period the night before. It cleaned me out; but, i can say that drinking a glass of water each time was tough--after a while, water starts to taste bad. not sure which is worse...all that water or the liquid chalk. Day of the procedure, they gave me an iv of something and i was out within a minute--woke up when it was all over.
  9. i will say Alabama. I don't have a dog in the fight as i'm not really a college football fan; but, if i had to bet--my money would be on Alabama.
  10. It was a close game until kickoff.
  11. so much fun. to me, the ultimate vacation. i just love being at sea, especially if the waves are rather large.
  12. we'll i've tried to get him to venture out to the west coast and cater a party for me; but, no luck so far. thought for sure, that offering ten free pulls on my dollar slot machine would be tempting; but, the man has willpower unlike us mere mortals. The real reason is probably that he knows he'd have to pack all the pots and pans and utensils if he cooked at my house; because they're ain't none here. Steve
  13. happy birthday glenn, and best wishes to your family too,
  14. here's to hoping for good test results. I'm a veteran of many MRIs (two herniated discs in neck and two more in back). I find them uncomfortable because i have trouble breathing after lying on my back for awhile, so after 5-10 minutes, i'm having to start praying that time will pass quicker. That is some tight quarters though, last time i went for one, they were running late because the person before kept freaking out inside the tube. Steve
  15. i was thinking the same thing...i'll bet elden got banned and she's carrying the family torch. But, it's nice to hear from her again. Steve
  16. I'm a sister hazel fan--several very good songs in my music library.
  17. Pictures of the good Doc are available in the Pilgrimage thread. []
  18. okay, i just read that other thread. Which one of you wrote this? You know, you both can't go up there.
  19. Kudo's Carl--You hit that one out of the park. But, do we know that was all in jest--you could be in need of some serious medication.
  20. a couple of easy opponents and bye week will be a great help. also, palmer and hugh jackson have already worked together when jackson coached in cincy--so they have a working relationship already established--stuff like that shortens the learning curve.
  21. don't give up yet BigCliff--Carson Palmer is coming to town and he's got a huge chip on his shoulder (which is usually a very good thing for an athlete).
  22. What if you bring your own tv...is it still different? And Sledge Hammer is cool, and that lady sidekick was hot.
