"I'm assuming we are still talking about removing the snout from the EV dh1a to make it a 1 1/4" driver," It's actually 1.375", make several sets when you get ready to do it. Use countersunk screws to mount to the driver, and studs with Locktite to mount to the horn. Use the 1/4-20 four-bolt horn pattern (if yours are the newer style).

? Rotating, or spinning older woofers 180 degrees ?
djk replied to Karsoncookie's topic in Klipsch Pro Audio
Rotate now. If they start to rub later it will be too late to help. -
"So they wouldn't bolt up to an EV HR9040" They could, with an adaptor plate you would have to make out of 1/8" aluminum.

The MR594 is a CD type, and will require about 6dB/oct boost above about 4Khz or so. This can be done in a passive network for a 100dB (or less) woofer.

"why don't you take the extender nose cup off and run them as 1.4 inch exit drivers rather than 2" exit drivers? Better top end extension that way." You could, but the bolt circle is non-standard.

"I don't know of ANY klipsch pro that ever came with Neutrik as stock connectors. But that's not to say that it didn't happen." 4-pin Speakon connectors fit the same cut-out as XLR connectors, and the 8-pin Speakon will fit the EP cut-out (as seen on EAW, Turbosound, etc).

La Scala II vs older La Scala. Big Differences or Not?
djk replied to tcb's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Vented LaScala with quad PPSL 8's and some room EQ. Note the 7dB cut around 140hz (horn), about 7dB cut around 60hz or so (room), about 5dB boost around 28hz. -
http://www.seismicaudiospeakers.com/Speakon-to-Speakon-Speaker-Cables-35-feet/p/TW12S35 Cut it to length (they make up to 100').

you were all right about the Tads and the 402!

JBL will sell you their parts at dealer cost when you return the damaged one. -
"BGW 100 AB International 200 Crown D-75 or D-75A" They're all good, I've got a BGW 100 and an AB International 200 on hand right now. I prefer the BGW to the Crown (as did PWK), but the AB may be even a bit better.

I have a couple of sets of the HF horns and drivers if you want to listen to them.

"I've got no idea what those connections are though" It's an XLR and 1/4" combi jack (both balanced or unbalanced). The basic design is the same as the Leach, a very good sounding design.

"Dennis, is the ringing still there on the PAudio BMD-750 II model?" Yes, it's a mechanical break-up mode. You can stick a bit of foam tape (on the side away from the phase plug) at the apex of the dome, JBL does this on many models (aluminum on the 2445). -
"Do you know if your Elip 400's are CD (constant directivity/dispersion) horns?" No, they are not CD. "If they are not then 1) your crossover will need to be reworked and 2) you might find the high end a bit "forward" on the K-510's." Backwards, the K-510 will be less forward (before CD eq is added). "Personally, I like CD horns and I think the K-510 is a very good horn (especially for its small size)." I too like CD horns. I've been meaning to talk to Dave about making a CD version of the Elliptrac. Ideally the initial expansion should be conical, changing to tractrix at the mouth (similar in principle to a K402). The Elliptrac sounds fabulous (as a three-way), the top octave has limited dispersion as a two-way. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g196/dkleitsch/BullNosedHorn_zpsafa42924.jpg

The 4002 is a 1.5" exit driver with a 2" adaptor. Also consider the JBL 2435 Be 1.5" with an adaptor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/JBL-PRO-2435HPL-2435-HPL-High-Frequency-Compression-Driver-Beryllium-Diaphragm-/301798079347?hash=item4644913b73%3Ag%3AkfQAAOSwo6lWOlt1&nma=true&si=75eGJ44bRCKxh4z6nMYgPxQOX%252B4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 -

Forte II K-53 distortion in quiet passages

"Is there anything preventing me from nudging the structure so the gap is more uniform besides magnetism (is the magnet structure glued together)?' Won't be able to shift it without destroying it. -
I have a MA5002 (if anyone needs 1.3KW at 8Ω) And an XLS5000 (1.1KW at 8Ω)

The D150 is (IMO) their worst product. The PS-200 is a much better product.
