  1. Anything Nagaoka pairs very well with Klipsch. This is in your price range http://www.lpgear.com/product/NAGAOKAMP150.html
  2. It really has nothing to do with the precision of the units. It's the delicate wiring of the cartridge leads and the tonearm which are moved with every album play.
  3. As the Dude would say, "Those Khorns really tie the room together" [Y]
  4. Dtel there is such a place..... vintageaudiowarehouse.com Can you actually purchase anything on this site? There's no clickable links.
  5. OT, Madhusker, your username is appropriate after last night.[:'(]
  6. kaiser I just bought a Jasmine LP2 MKII from the manufacturer. It transformed my vinyl frontend to a different level. I have a hard time describing sound, but all I can say is it sounds very tube-like. Once you get past the "made in China" stigma, I find it one of the true hi-fi bargains. My arm board and 12" cherry arm look very cool and sound great, but not as good as my SME 345 which i'm using now. I install the woodys once in a while for the heck of it. James
  7. On the other hand, I'm almost certain very few have heard just how good vinyl can sound.
  8. I guess I'm lucky to live between CA and CO[]
  9. Because it's harder to roll a joint on the "other" formats.[] It's all subjective, but I find my vinyl front end has a much deeper and wider soundstage than my CD player. It's also warmer and less fatiguing to me. It all depends on the turntable, cartridge, and most of all the phono stage. I just changed phono stages and it made a huge difference for the better.
  10. You really can't go by specs on phono stages. They're like tube amps, the specs might not be great but the sound can be amazing. I have a Musical Fidelity VLPS and Pyramid power supply that I may be willing to sell. PM me if you're interested.
  11. Thanks for your generosity Rick! Count me in please.
  12. My next Amp is going to be one of these. The simplicity of Japanese art, with an old school look. Point to point wiring taken to another level.
  13. You'll be very happy! I know I am.
  14. http://www.ebay.com/itm/125-Pair-Klipsch-Heresy-II-Home-Floor-Loudspeakers-/160639390666?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item2566da93ca#ht_2269wt_1217 Only $360 a pair [bs]
  15. What cartridge to you have? If it's a low output moving coil, you'll need a step up transformer or a headamp. If it's a moving magnet your phono input on your reciever is all you need. If you have a moving magnet and it isn't working on your reciever phono input, your phono stage is bad.
  16. Did you say you had the original crossovers? If so, put them back in and compare.
  17. You really need to reply to your original thread if you want this to make any sense.
  18. I love Zeppelin, but they have been accused of ripping off others in their songwriting. This is an interesting link: http://www.associatedcontent.com/video/26428/led_zeppelin_rip_off_artists_.html
  19. Hey Rick... I think I'm going to order that one tonight... Gee... more expenses... Which one Boxx? The box set or Are You experienced? I sure hope the Led Zeppelin "Mothership" LP box set sounds as good as they say, I'll be finding out tomorrow... Mothership's okay, but nothing compared to an original Ludwig mastered sterling, or the Classic Records 200gm reissues.
