  1. Any guesses on what the winning bid will be?
  2. You should of used the stepup transformer I loaned you to see the difference they make.
  3. I know I've got a cronic bruise []
  4. I've got a small room, and I toe mine in to my shoulders or a smidge wider. Also the fronts of mine are tilted slightly up with hocky pucks on the two front corners. The imaging and soundstage are pretty darn good with this setup.
  5. Unfortunately, a re-veneer is your only option to get it right.
  6. Sirius and XM are merged now, so it shouldn't matter either way you choose.
  7. These NOS Mullards are what I use , and I'm very happy with them. I paid the extra $4 for low noise and microphonics. By the way, these are real NOS, never used. http://www.tubedepot.com/nos-12at7-mullard.html
  8. I'd like to have that big block Chevelle SS[Y]
  9. The blues are worth around $50, the blacks are half that.
  10. It'll all make more sense once you get it up and running. You won't be sorry with this investment, especially with thrift store finds.
  11. You spray the distilled water on the spinning LP while the vacuum is removing the cleaning fluid, thus removing any residue from the fluid. This is done after you have used the VPI or Mofi brush during the cleaning step.
  12. You should also have a spray bottle for rinsing with distilled water.
  13. I buy the fluid with enzmes by the gallon. A gallon will clean a boatload of LP's. I don't know how many it'll clean for sure, but I've had mine for over 6 months and it's still over half full. Phoenix Record Cleaning Fluid with enzymes or Phoenix II for an alcohol free solution. What's the MPG or should I say APO (album per ounce)?
  14. I have a Mofi Cleaning brush (pad) with extra self adhesive pads, and I use the VPI brush for the real dirty albums. I use Phoenix cleaning fluid, or home brew made of 1 part 95% isopropol alcohol and 3 parts distilled H2o, and 4 drops of dawn. You'll also want to buy extra strips for the pickup tube.
  15. Kinda hard to read and roll joints on the covers aint' it?[]
  16. If your into the Beatles, I recommend "The Beatles Collection" Blue Box. It's expensive but worth it for the sonics. It's the best vinyl buy I've made.
  17. I've been going to thrift stores and garage sales for years to find a TD 124 or Garrard 301. Oh well I'll keep trying.
  18. I hear ya, I can't remember the last time I've listened to a CD. Not that I hate them, I just like my LP's that much more.
  19. Yes, he's still on eBay, and still sells spu's.
  20. I have a 640c that is the best cd player I've ever owned.
