  1. On the last few projects of mine I have used these Parts Express rubber feet, I think they do a great job and do not run the risk of scratching wooden floors like those Klipsch OEM metal feet. https://www.parts-express.com/penn-elcom-f1615-rubber-cabinet-foot-17-dia-x-075-h--260-7712 They do not slide, which I think is a good thing, but they do have enough height that you can walk the cabinets to move them.

    What I Got Today!

I don't have my Jub-Likes anymore, now I have my Peavey FH-1 / K-402 / K-691 combo... not quite Jubs, but very close. A couple weeks ago I had a friend over to listen, who brought a buddy of his for a listen. The friend of the friend was very sceptical when he heard my speakers were partly Peavey. He pooh poohed as being crappy old pro bass bins, it was very fun to watch him change his tune after the first minute of music. I think a lot of non believers think pro gear like the Klipsch Jubilee cannot be a HiFi system. But hearing is believing, as our friend USNRET is about to find out!

    What I Got Today!

Congratulations!!! I know what you are saying. When I built my Tigerwood Jub-likes, I was very apprehensive to plug them in after months of working on them in the garage. I had also never heard or had seen a pair of Jubs... Trust me, they are going to sound absolutely F#@ing FABULOUS! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. I would agree with Coytee, but the thing that most impacts the price is location. Up here in Canada, supply and demand can really impact the price. I ended up going the other route and paid $650cnd ($480usd), for this functional... but VERY cosmetically challenged pair that were 1/2 hour drive away. Point is, with a little work even rough looking ones can look good again. But changing a component or 2, is certainly less work!
  6. I have owned, or still own every Heritage model with the exception of the Belle. Several years ago I built a pair of DIY Jubilee bass bins and mated them to the K-402 with Faital HF-200 CD. With Chris A's generous support to dial in the system with the Xilica crossover, this set up was not even close to my previous KHorn, La Scalas, Cornwalls for musical performance! During a momentary lapse of reason couple of years ago, I sold my Jub-clones, huge mistake. After missing this ultimate sounding system I decided to try and get that experience back and came across a pair of beat up Peavey FH-1 bass bins that I then stuck a pair of Klipsch K-510 horns on top with again another pair of HF-200 CDs. This was very, very good sounding, but alas not quite what the Jub-likes were. Next step was to purchase a new set of K-402s/K-691s/ and stands to swap in for the K-510s. Presto, probably 95% of what my full Jub clones delivered! Long story short, IMHO, the magic of the Jubilee is the K-402 horn. This horn changes how you look at any other Klipsch Heritage speaker, not to mention any other speaker system out there. Track down and listen to a properly dialled in pair of Jubilees (or variant with the K-402)... hearing is believing!
  7. Hey Zachk0, Are you after just the electronics and TT? I wonder what Lou would take for just the KLF20s?
  8. This is one of my pair of La Scalas that I refinished this spring. I used Black Roller grade Duratex with the blue Druratex roller To get the slightly more "relaxed" texture, I mix about 5% water in with the Duratex. Duratex does suggest not using any more than that 5% water. Once you have the Duratex rolled on and it is starting to set (which does not take long, a minute or so) try to resist the temptation to "touch it up" with the roller, this will start to give a rougher texture. Randy, thanks very much for the compliments, they did turn out pretty nice.
  9. It takes a bit of work, but the results can be GREAT with a little care... Then there is what these cabinets turned into... Where there is a will, there is a way!

    What I Got Today!

Ducati really does have a great sound. Just for the neighbors, throw a Termignoni exhaust on. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I may have mentioned earlier, but I also had a 2001 RC51, my only other VTwin until now. At 172hp or so on the KTM, that's about 50 ponies more than the Honda, 1 Liter Duck Eater... sorry Davis. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I had some Sato Racing slip-ons on the RC51... holy cow!

    What I Got Today!

My 61st BDay was the middle of August, so the KTM was basically a present for myself. ๐Ÿฅณ So, 60ish should not stop you from staying sporty! VTwin power is fun and has lots of character, but so does the V4. It's a combination of the cool things of both the V2 and the ILine4. I had a 1994 VFR, it was a great bike, as the newer 800 Interceptor is. But, there is a lot to be said about liter plus bikes!

Beautiful, what year and model is the Monster? V2 power is fun!!! Between those two bikes, you have all your bases covered. ๐Ÿค“

    What I Got Today!

Nice FJ Davis! The Yamaha was on my short list along with the BMW R1200/1250 RS. I ultimately went with the SDGT because it leans toward the sport side of things but figured if I added the top case it would still be comfortable enough to convince the wife to get out for some riding. Your FJR must be great for longer two up rides?

    What I Got Today!

Yes the bags and top case are very handy, but they come off in 30 seconds for each. I only bought her about 6 weeks ago (first of Sept.) and am still getting back in the riding mode after not having a bike in 10-12 years. The plan is to get out next summer for a couple good tours, provided Covid will allow some nice destinations by next year. You will notice some of the fallen leaves in the above shots, which means up here (I am about a hour north of Toronto), winter is around the corner. โ˜น๏ธ Probably only a couple decent days for a ride remain before tucking the bike away in the garage until next April.

    What I Got Today!

That's a predictable Klipsch Forum statement ๐Ÿ˜Ž... ie, tweeters that measure 40in x 25.5in. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I would be guilty as charged on that one. Here are a few pics. Before: After: Took the GT out for a 30 minute ride yesterday and I am very happy with the new sound. Should not be overly obnoxious for the neighbours, but they will hear me coming now.

    What I Got Today!

Ya, those are the Rotty pics. My GT is not quite a full blown Adventure machine, it's really a slightly tall Sport Touring bike... emphasizing the sport side of things. For now I will try it just with the Healtech 'ESE' Exhaust Servo Eliminator I got at Rottweller, this makes the bike think the Servo and exhaust valve are still there and not throw any errors. There is a KTM ECU flash available at the dealer that is for a full Akrapovic system (no cat or exhaust valve), so that could be an option if the stock ECU setting can't compensate enough for my transplant operation. I might think ๐Ÿค” about a Stage 5 Rotty Intake System, which would include a Power Commander V and Dual channel Auto Tune. But this might be going over board a bit.๐Ÿ™„

    What I Got Today!

This is for the KTM, Super Duke GT that I got new to me back in September. Not sure what the OEM muffler weighs but the new Arrow can weighs 5.6lbs. The big weight saving is in the new Arrow De Cat link pipe, not to mention the removal of servo motor for the exhaust valve. I should have everything installed tonight for a before and after photo op.

    What I Got Today!

This arrived today in the mail, should add a little extra to the exhaust note on the SDGT.
  19. Yep, those are mine. Not quite Jubilees, but these are not to shabby at all with the K510s. But, when I play the FH-1 with my 402s, they are very, very close to a Jubilee sound!
  20. Now that's a brag post if I ever heard one. CONGRATS!!!

    What I Got Today!

comfortable Of the 7 or 8 sport bikes that I have owned, the RC51 was probably my favorite. They were"ok" stock off the showroom floor, but did require a bit of easy work to bring out the big smiles when riding. And yes a statement was certainly made, after I added the Sato high mounts!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž I am planing to add the Top Case with back rest to the GT with the hopes that it will be comfortable enough for the wife to come out for some rides.

    What I Got Today!

This just landed in my garage, Something tells me a will have less time in front of the HiFi, at least while the weather is still good. I have not ridden in a few years and this is a huge difference from my last motorbike, which was a Kawi, ZX10R. I thought it might remind me of the RC51 that came before the ZX10, but also different than I remember that... 1 Litre Duck Eater!
  23. Thanks very much for the tire pumping guys! Hey Pat, they already are in a happy home, just a crowded happy home that needs some space cleared up. This really did make huge transformation and I sure they will make someone pretty happy.
  24. I have decided to list my recently refurbished Klipsch La Scalas. These are a1982 Vintage with K-77M tweeters and K-55M midrange. The crossovers were Type ALs originally and were in very rough conditionโ€ฆ not to mention the ALs were the very worst Klipsch Xover ever. So, I found a mint pair of Type AAs and swapped them in and trash binโ€™ed the old ALs. I then decided to laminate 1/2in Baltic Birch to the Tops, Bottoms and Sides via screws and PL glue. This accomplished two things, gave a nice new exterior to work with and stiffing of the cabinets to help eliminate any resonance. Rather than veneering these guys I decided to give them more of a Klipsch Industrial look. I rounded all the edges, even the openings for the tweets and midrange horns. Then I rolled on some black Duratex to give a factory like pebble finish. I even found 2 pair of brand new old stock Klipsch handles that countersunk into the sides. To cap it off and complete the look, I found some nice replica Klipsch Industrial badges for the fronts. I think these now look as good as they sound! At my asking price, I would be open to deliver within a 2 hour drive of Toronto / Newmarket. If following distancing and mask protocol, a limited audition could be set up, but only for those very serious to buy. Can be heard with either Solid State or SET tubes. Also listed on CAM, more pics can be found there. https://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649649369-klipsch-la-scala/ I have lowered the price from my original ask of $2600cnd down to $2300cnd. I also have my Peavey / K510 listed, I do need to make some room... so which ever sell first. Thanks for looking.
