  1. Sitting in my RV with the ac blowing. Thanks for that! Can handle any cool much better. Hope we have a coolish one this time. Bugs are not as bad either, lol.
  2. Maybe but, would have to be on this thread a little while back(Cactus). In any case yes they rocked...saw them in Tampa(of all places). Sortof cool as I had seen the Fudge in Jax Beach. girlfriend goy me the green apple CD somewhere awhile back. Hated to tell her(probly didn't) it was only half the double lp but, it had Plynth(water down the drain) on one she got me. As you know, it is a super classic lp. Early Rod and Beck, Woods and Mick Waller drums. JP Jones...Hammond...Nicky Hopkins...Piano from the back of lp. BTW, if you can get the Orange Beck group lp or cd, do it. Alright John.
  3. Spotted some near mint Moody Blues (several and Buchanan lps awhile back at a Goodwill for a snip. And of course, the old trusty craigslist. Good Hunting!
  4. Listened to Cactus One Way Or Another LP, Free Live, and Fleetwood Mac LP's, very recently all which posted here probably, lol...Atomic Rooster need to give a fresh listen to as they were pop. in circles. Coincidental as listening to the Beck-Ola old LP which I sprayed just now and am listening to ATM...Ain't Superstitious playing. Yes, Friday the Thirteenth and watching for black cats...coming up. Even this old double LP with 2 LP's, Truth and Beck Ola sounding better than they should on this Sansui TT. Yes, it is all connected, agreed. Cactus was sortof created because of Jeff Beck's car accident which delayed the group get together. Thus we have a decent band...Cactus. Beck Bogart & Appice LP with Superstiton, Black Cat Moan... originally V Fudge members. I do go on but, spot on from my membrance there man. But, knowing you, you already know this and more. Connectivity problem with Wi-Fi getting better some lately. Think the external antenna is burning in...LOL...enjoy!
  5. Lol. congrats...Emile(The Roadtripper)...:)
  6. Give em a listen man before your project...Congrats! Would like to compare impressions on the model.
  7. Bump for some decent sound. Would clean up nice enough to repair grilles with something and put in garage or...parts alone, a deal. GLWS
  8. Sorry I overlooked the nettle part. Lol, yes, a good one to know. Probably works for other in a pinchšŸ˜
  9. Lol, I see a roadtrip in your future!?! It would be neat if you could find another deal of something or other as well. Spend the night, dine out, or in. Carry a driver to spell you for a quick rounder. See deals all the time I would like but, to far to be practical. Of a sudden, a deal pops up nearby even more desireable. Maybe Carl or Colter, others will drop by. Be safe! whatever you decide...Cheers!
  10. Welpers, had a chance to meet DaveA when he came for my Chorus. Nice guy who like a lot of members here is knowledgeable/serious about his music. Pretty serious roadtripper as well. Keep on a'truckinā€¦:)
  11. Lol, Just happened to see my sister-in law recently while looking for a camping spot. She was in garden tending it. Forgot to ask about her epi-pen but sure she keeps it close. So, been roughing it in a nice camper on the Ocklocknee river nearby. Not much internet but, been enjoying it somewhat anyway. Funny thing is, a cell tower along with a Ma Bell tower same distance. Guess I am too close. Oh well, nice in some ways. The heat is on around about so keep those supplies handy. The bugs are bad...lol
  12. Nice pics there, all of them. Still running my selection through the Sansui TT and loving it. Sold an H/K TD-202 to a local famous musician yesterday. Hope he likes it as I he could return it. He is still spinning vinyl too. He may have a solution to my Wi-Fi prob. If I do not say, Happy 4th, and to you too FR...;)
  13. Nice old 60's lp there FR...a fav of mine. @dirtmudd ā€¦ The Sansui sr 2050- C turntable appears to have the original cart and stylus on it and is tracking very sweetly for me. It is definitely heavier for one thing than my Technics, which does the job. Been listening to several lp's I have not gotten around to postings here. Have the Technics up for sale on craigslist. Been having connectivity problems with my W-Fi so...still around but slow to respond...lol :)
  14. Can help with some of it. Have listened to this 4 song youtube more times than I can remember. Almost a reference standard to audition new gear. May want to dampen the treble a tad as Ric likes the cymbal quite some. Alvin and Co...:
  15. Depending on the source and your electronics, it will sound as if you are there amongst the throng, with the luxury of being in your own listening room. Spectacular with classical music...Klipsch...welcome.šŸ˜Š
  16. And now hear this:
  17. See you got some Heresy! Cool!šŸ˜ƒ
  18. Saw where I reposted it before but no linkage for me to the article. It was a review by Stereophile back in around 1985, when think the forte' was first introduced. There are of course reams of info on the forte, done in a search of the forum.
  19. Think my forte's were around that time. There is a review done by a couple of respected techies/critics that found the forte as the best they had heard in overall balance. They even wanted to keep the speakers that Klipsch had sent for their review for publication. So, as is and refreshed, the crossovers will put all back into spec for you. Are you a DIY solderer?
  20. Those are questions for Bob or DeanG, others...start a new thread or keep asking here and someone will be able to say...
  21. Bob Crites has a website. : Tried to post it here for you but, klick on the @BEC and you can see it listed in his profile page. Others may chime in.šŸ˜ƒ Glad you are digging on the Ortofon Red...
  22. Had a nephew who knew better cross the poles. Battery blew up and acid all over himself. Lesson learned. Trickle charger is good idea but for of a sudden jumps, just be careful and learn from tales like this one to well, focus on the task at hand. A lesson I am still learning. lol
  23. The titanium diaprahams come in a pack of 2 of course and are just another speaker tweak that can be done. The capacitor crossover refresh kit probably comes with a new resistor as well. Check with @BEC...Mr. Bob Crites for the details and pricing. He is a good source to know for Klipsch speakers. And well thought of here, of course. Have you decided what you want to do regarding a new cart or a crossover refresh?
