  1. That Marantz is going to fit in perfect. Really nice setup once you get em all together. Thats about as future-proof as you can get at this moment.
  2. Sorry Scrappy, he and I have made a deal on the 4520. But, I'll trade you for those little speakers you have. I think they start with a P? LOL.
  3. I'm sure there are a few forum members that would take that leap but obviously that isnt enough. But the question is; would the consumer embrace it enough to sustain the production costs? Tough question.
  4. Thats going to be an awesome center DIY. I just dont have the room for it and dont see it happening any time soon. Sorry if I missed it but Metro, have you started a thread with this build? That would be cool.
  5. BUT MINE ONLY GOES TO 10!!!! HAHA. You are going to have a great system. Cant wait to see pics.
  6. Yeah, but I'm pretty sure you didnt order these items and wait years for delivery. Theres a difference. But really, what can ya do??? Just wait it out if I were you, I'd take it out on the neighbors. Crank it to 11 and piss em off really good. Oh, while the offer was tempting, gonna have to hold on the RF 7ii a little longer. LOL.
  7. OK, if you havent developed a severe drinking problem yet, now is a good opportunity! Dont waste it! At least you know when you finally get it all together, it is going to be worth it. Hang in there man.
  8. Not being impatient. Anticipation is part of the fun in it. But, they do seem to be dropping the ball with it sitting there at 6:30 and supposed to be shipped today. If it meets or exceeds your expectations, it will be worth it. Are you sure you dont want to ship it to my house first? I'll give it a good inspection and my stamp of approval!
  9. Maybe try those RF 7's from your sons room. I am with Youth on the treble/brightness. I prefer mine with a little more treble as well. Its just trying to find that sweet spot that seems elusive at times. I find I like trying the different formats with a HT receiver in 2 channel mode. Even though its not "pure" or direct, some of those options add just the right sound.
  10. I havent pushed mine with tubes so cant say there. I use mine in HT. I dont have a dedicated room so the living room is the HT. I typically just use a receiver (I have 3 of them now trying to figure out which one to keep) and currently using Yamaha 773WA but when I get the itch, I will hook up the Outlaw 7125 and use it with the receiver as a pre. For me, there is very little difference between the 2 setups. It does put my mind at ease when using the Outlaw amp knowing I wont ever clip with it as my ears would bleed before that would happen. So I do have a tendency to turn the volume up a little more with the Outlaw. I'm too skeeered to push the receiver too hard. But even though mostly used for HT, the 2 channel music from Oppo 103 sounds mighty fine. Oh, and I do run a sub. (The Lil Wrecker).
  11. Yeah, I noticed the other thread after I wrote this. At least it was an easy fix, just waiting for another speaker aint bad! LOL. You and I will have similar setups as well. I have the RF7ii, RC 64ii and RS 7. I have 5.1 setup. Yamaha 773WA receiver/pre with Outlaw 7125 and Oppo 103. Samsung 64 f8500 plasma. I go back and forth with the Outlaw 7125. I'll run it for a few weeks then unhook it and let the Yammie push for a while. They both sound really good
  12. Did you get the RF 7ii and the Outlaw 7500 yet? That really will sound great. My 7125 has plenty of power, that 7500 is going to make those 7ii sing! I play 2 channel out of Oppo 103 and I still grin at the sound coming out of those speakers. Good stuff man.
  13. Wow, I want one!!! Are you building cab for it? I really dont know about the drivers but they sure are perrty.
  14. +1 on the Denon 4520ci for $799.00 and +1 on Yamaha sound.
  15. Interesting title and had no idea what to expect. I was thinking mail brides! LOL. Funny what 18 watts can do. The first time I heard tubes was a 5 watt kit and not sure of the name but I was the typical non believer quietly thinking to myself, WTH is 5 watts gonna do? HUUMMFF. Well, I am a believer now! My LS came alive with those little 5 watts, if we were even using all 5? Dunno. Nice tubes man.
  16. From Scarface: Say hello to my lettle friends. Nice. What are we doing? Building a center? Copper color is just awesome. I hope they keep em like that. Very nice looking friends.
  17. Yep, I would get that Sony out of the equation and the links provided is a great start. If you dont need 4K, 3D, then your options are a little better finding receiver a little less expensive. But, if you buy a decent receiver, just use it to power your speakers. I wouldnt make that jump to amp unless you just want to, or happen to have 1 sitting around. Most mid range receivers will give you enough power. My biggest advice is to look for receiver that has the options you want. Look at the remote, is it backlit? 12 v trigger (and if 12v trigger is assignable) 3D, 4K, Atmos, Room EQ (Audysee, YPAO, MCAAC) preouts etc.
  18. If a Moderator modded moderately, how many Moderately modded Moderators would it take to moderately modify the Modded Moderators modified speech? Moderately speaking of course. Congrats Dude and no more snarky? Is this what I'm hearing? I hope you didnt lose that privilege, I enjoy the snarkyness....................... in Moderation.
  19. That dude scares the hell out of me! I sure wouldnt go over there alone! This has all the makings of another "Craigslist Incident"
  20. Definitely wrong on all levels. We could have Wendys Taco (oh my) or Wendys Bell, or Carls Wendy....................

    My new RF Palls

Break out the cigars!! LOL. Well with a sexy skin like that, how could those speakers resist each other??
  22. Well, you already know what to expect from Outlaw (assuming the 7500 is same sound as the 7125) so if it were me, I'd look around for used Emo amp and if you prefer the Outlaw (or Denon) then you could resell it and not take a big hit. Some dont like buying used though.
  23. Dang Pite, your sig is awesome. Anyway, I think either amp you go with will be just fine with those speakers. Plenty of power. Which, if I'm looking at the AVR correctly, the Denon will be just fine with em too. If thats a Denon you have listed.
