  1. I can tell I'm going to need a bigger house as the sickness is just going to get worse.
  2. Welcome to the forum! I've been on for less than a year and have acquired 5 sets of towers 3 center channels 3 amplifiers 2 old Sansui's 2 pair of book shelves 2 real big subs 1 new turntable ..............and a partridge with a big horn coming out of his head......................... Have a happy addiction like the rest of us!
  3. What do you mean with ''SABA HiFi gear '' ?? I don't understand that. SABA is a German company that I believe started producing tube table radios and other audio equipment in the 50's and built some very nice receivers in the 70's and early 80's that some limited gear was imported to the U.S. I can find tons of it in Germany, and some other European nations, but having trouble locating what I want here. Just wondered if you've ever seen any.
  4. I've read through much of this thread and was wondering (for those of us that are not as educated in electronics and don't understand everything that is being said) is there a simple list of good, better and best as far as choices for cables? I understand the system dependant comments, but for those of us that are not going to be able to test as many different applications.
  5. I'll check it out and thanks. Seems to be an opportunity in this field, based on the limited number of people out there.
  6. selling khorns is like getting a vasectomy. yes, it is possible to reverse your error. but it is painful and costly. That there's funny, I don't care who you are. LMAOPete
  7. I'll sneak in here with a pair of RF 35's, I got a great deal on them but already owned RF 7's and a few more sets of towers so to be honest, I haven't given them the proper listen and they've been part of a HT set up. You have inspired me to start a thread on the RP line which I own the 3's and 5's and for stand alone towers they do an incredible job. Pete
  8. Welcome to the group. I've been on for about a year and what a wealth of information and some really great people. I hit the CL in my area and wish that I could find some scores but NE Ohio seems to be a little lean on the Heritage equipment. Pete
  9. Thanks Ryan, Your's is a nice clean look and I'm actuall in the process of doing a remodle that will have a similar look to yours. Do you ever see any SABA HiFi gear where you live? Pete
  10. I still have one and have 0 complaints for home theater. I think I paid 600 for a refurb with 1 year warranty. Pete
  11. In your price range you can find an RSW 15 and bring the walls down on home theater or turn it down to match the output of your other speakers and listen to some very fine bass. I absolutely love mine! Pete
  12. I have a brand new one in black that I purchased, took out of the original box and played it for a week prior to obtaining an RC 7 to match my towers. I haven't thought about selling it, I just packaged it back up, but if you want to make me an reasonable offer I'm listening. Pete
  13. Pete, very nice setup. do you plan on keeping the RF-7 setup when and if you get big ole horns???? What's not showing in the picture is the rest of the surround set up and I'm going to keep that mainly dedicated to home theater and run a completely seperate 2 or 2.1 audio only set up. I have towers (Klipsch of course) set up for the side surrounds and rears and for action movies or music dvd's I can't ask for more. There are some really wonderful set ups that are posted on this thread. Can't wait to hear your gear!Pete
  14. Thanks for the info. It looks like I'm going to have to ship the equipment if I don't find someone here soonPete
  15. Don't know what the shipping would get into but here's a link to e-bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-RSW-15-Cherry-Subwoofer_W0QQitemZ110441186837QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item19b6cec615&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  16. I've run them really cranking with a TX SR 805 and never had a problem and the used the pre outs to run them throgh some M200T Carvers run 1 per speaker and though they sould great through the Onkyo, the difference in the bass with the carvers is quite noticible. If you run a strong sub with the 7's, you won't notice near the difference and I would strongly recommend matching them with a RSW 15, it really sounds great. Pete
  17. Or, you could just send them to Dean and have them done, which I've procrastinated about for almost a year, but I'm still going to do it Pete
  18. No problem. I hope it works out. Let us know either way. I still would like to find someone to do some work in the area. I reallydon't like the idea of shipping my stereo gear around. Take care, Frank W. Still haven't gotten any response to my e-mail so I'm still looking too. I have a guy that produces some radio spots for me that has done quite a bit of studio engineering and he's trying to find someone too. There's a guy on e-bay that says he specializes in Sansui, but once again, you have to take the chance with shipping. I'll let you know if I find someone Frank.Pete
  19. Thanks for the info. I appreciate the help.
  20. I picked up my RSW 15 for $600 and if you can find the right deal, I really don't think you can come close to that trying to build one.
  21. Thanks! I'm pleased with it but want some K Horns and some tubes for an audio only set up.
  22. Thanks for the insight Frank. I've sent an initial e-mail and waiting for a response.
