  1. Heck, I'm not but I had never heard or seen those units either.
  2. I'm sure this is going to bring out the flame throwers but..............I really think it's time we quit overlooking what certain celebrities do and become and then feel sad when they die despite the fact that they became complete morons and their life goes down the tubes along with any special talent they had, at their own hand. Then we get to watch the glorification when true to form her last couple days were captured acting just like the looser addict she's been for a long time. Sorry guys she WAS one of the most incredible voices that I had ever heard but that's been gone for quite a while and sorry, but she's not some role model for children or life in general, nor are countless actors, musicians, politicians and every day people that in spite of all the wrong doings that you and I would be incarcerated for and deemed by society to be losers, get away with things and are still praised because they have a lot of money or because the general public makes it a tragedy because of who they are. This story would be different if it were inspiring and was a true story of falling from grace and true recovery and perspective to be shared, but it's not. I really love what Jimi Hendrix brought to the table musically and I listen to many things that he did, but he wasn't someone I aspired to be like as a person and don't feel bad because he partied too hard and choked on his vomit.
  3. I specifically want to stay away from a LP grill. I have no problem getting a little hibachi (sp?) or a little Webber.... those are what I'm accustomed to using. I have no problem getting an Egg however, if it's primary goal is to slow cook roasts or things along those lines instead of some burgers & chops.... then it might be the wrong tool for me. I'm intrigued with them but my inexperience with them has me pausing because of their price. They are great cookers and if you don't have a problem with the price and just want to use it for basic grilling it will do a wonderful job and you wont go through much charcoal at all but for what you're telling me will be its primary function any of the other less costly options will do just as well and just use more fuel. It's one of those choices based on the $$$ but on the other hand, maybe if you got one you would start using it for other things beyond what you think, based on the great ability of the cooker. I'm not helping you am I?
  4. Stalker [] I lived in Greenville for a couple years, great part of the state. The biggest advantage in the "Green Egg" cookers is how efficiently they burn fuel and retain heat. I've had great success with the Weber's over the years but if you can bite the bullet on the expense and more importantly going to use it, this can be a good investment. I'm wanting to construct a custom outdoor cooker that will be a combination of natural gas, wood (charcoal) cooker and smoker and a wood fired brick oven because one size doesn't fit all.
  5. Your connections look great, but this is one area that always winds my chain when I'm making up wires like this; you would think that there would be better quality crimp connectors out there, but I've never been able to find them. The problem isn't the connector, it's the tool. You need one of these. The jaws are 3/8" thick. You literally would have to rip the wires to get the connector apart. If you need to replace the connector for any reason, you have to cut it off. I ordered a set yesterday after searching again for connectors that I liked. That sub is freaking big! My Spud isn't looking too large anymore. Great build and story about helping others that you barely know.
  6. If you're not trying to angle them a ton, couldn't you use the keyhole mounts and use a much longer cabinet screw for the top mount and adjust the angle by leaving that one out further with a slight angle on it so both screws would still lock in while achieving your angle. Total cost .50 if you don't have the proper screws and a few more minutes measuring after you figure out the exact angle you need. You can also paint the upper fastener the same color as the wall to hide it as much as possible. Just my .02 worth.[]
  7. Based on how you described your intended use I think you will be wasting your money. Kamado style cookers are extremely versatile and can do everything from extreme high heat grilling to low controlled smoking and slow cooking. Due to the fact that you can precisely control the temperature and draft you can use the fuel source and then choke it out when your done and use it for multiple burns but to do simple grilling tasks IMPO you would be better of with a simple gas grill that you light up grill your stuff for a few minutes and shut it down and learn to use a wood chip smoker box if you want to add that flavor from time to time. I say all this being a die hard griller and smoker and I don't use gas, but that's based on my doing a great deal of smoking and slow cooking.
  8. Here's a thread with pictures. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/136495.aspx

  10. Plug that big SOB in already, you can sand it later.[]
  11. I like happy endings. I had a KLF C7 show up at my home from a forum member that I sold something to and he used the same box to try and ship this speaker to someone else but my information was still on the box too. It all worked out and the speaker got to the right person.
  12. Here's an old thread that I found that might help. I believe the last one I purchased (RF 7) was around 180 Klipsch.http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/24050/198741.aspx
  13. I would really doubt it but I'm sure you could just call the parts department and they would tell you for sure.
  14. Not if she still had a death grip on those scissors and that mean "psycho woman" look in her eye.
  15. How would I do that? You can't since the last major change in the forum software. In the past, you could right click and view pic, and it would be the original size of the avatar pic when you uploaded it. I'm sure the pages load faster now without having to scale them allthe time.Bruce Bruce is right, I didn't mean for you to try that, sorry, it's just the way the forum is setup, not a big deal. But you could just post the full size picture and then we could see it.
  16. You're knocking this out in great time and it's coming together terrific. That is a pretty big S.O.A.B.
  17. I think that's well below normal, but I wouldn't know, and it's never my fault. Normal is realizing that you don't control anyone's actions but your own and you let others deal with their choices good or bad and don't react off the cuff because no good ever comes from that. That said, " I'm never wrong either" []
  18. She is but when she goes off on something (about 2x a year), all logic goes out the freaking window.
  19. Thanks for my morning chukle. I got a nice late afternood chuckle from that one too!! Me too and boy did I need that. Her head is screwed back on this morning, not completely tight, but there's no more green stuff flying out of her mouth.
  20. OK, you have made a statement that seems like pocket screwing is a lesser method; so explain if you would please.
  21. (RIGHT ON!!) Me too, but I also believe that that alone doesn't make a person bad, especially if the price is fair. The Moderators are responsible for maintaining the integrity of all things on their forum. And based on personal experience (and unfortunately not all of it good), I think they've been quite successful at maintaining a relatively positive, safe atmosphere. Why else would we be and stay here. If someone has a gripe, legitimate or not, pass it to a Moderator/Administrator, and they will determine the appropriateness of the post. I'm quite certain they'll put the kibosh on anything that's inappropriate. I've been here for a while, and I can assure you that there are more than a few unscrupulous and unsavory members in this place, it's the nature of the beast (public forum), but I'll take this bad with the good, because there's mostly good in it....... and until I believe or find out otherwise, I here to stay. What I enjoy most about this place, is the fact that a lot of people are here because they (like me), enjoy high quality, good, clean sounding music. And if you're here to buy gear, educate yourself as best you can about the gear, and the person you're thinking about buying from. If something about the deal doesn't seem quite right, guess what, it's not. One of the best things about shopping for used audio gear, is that if you wait long enough, the right deal always come around. I will drink to that!
  22. It means that my first name is Pete and I like the letter H
  23. Me too, and at the time I was inhaling some good red while chewing on some sugar cane.
  24. The next post I want to read from you is that you picked them up and they sound awesome. I have a standing creed that I buy every pair of RB 5's for under $200 if they're in good shape and I would add to that 81's for $300 or under in good shape, so get on it.
  25. I'm still awake because I just got my @ss ripped because I got a call on my cell phone from an unknown number that in my infinite wisdom told my insanely jealous GF to answer and it was some girl wanting this number to stop texting them; you want to talk about a she! storm, let me tell you; and no, I didn't have a clue who the hel! it was, nor do I engage in extra relationship affairs, so when she flipped out, I did too. She tries to tell me that I'm the only trusting sole on the planet and my calm reaction to situations isn't normal, but I'm sorry, if you're an insecure and jealous person, you really need to get a life and a counselor. Am I really the only one that lives each day with a clear conscience and doesn't worry about others making bad decisions? Sorry guys, just venting, but when I'm told that trust is an unusual quality and that many girlfriends can be lined up to verify this, I just can't understand it. I've spent too many years developing my self worth and respect for others to fold now.
