    Well, I obviously didn't communicate well. That'a basically what I was trying to say but perhaps with a bit more robust safety and automation. If you go with the above, at least give Yadis or some similar file mirroring software a shot so you stay automatically backup up. I found that no matter how faithful I thought i was being about manual backups, disaster struck the moment I put it off or forgot. Dave i got your point, your communication was fine, just thought i'd make it so simple even I could understand [H]

    your videos are on your computer now? they're just digital files like any other, you could simply buy an external HD and back it up, or buy 2 and back it up twice.
