  1. Any advice on how to ensure matching #'s? Did you follow the directions posted by the member that bought them earlier and speak to the lady that helped him?
  2. Pretty speakers. You have a lot of nice gear.
  3. Thanks for posting the tags. Anyone able to decipher their year? Best I can guess is that they were #'s 61 and 62 made in 1971. They look like the oldest Belles I've ever seen. They look great and I'm sure your upgrades make them sound great as well.
  4. Sweet! I'm glad you pulled the trigger. I'm still waiting...
  5. Could you post a picture of their tags please? Thanks
  6. Is that their final answer? Seems like it wuld be smart of them to try and help you secure a matched set.
  7. That's good. I was confident that they were gonna drop again that now I'm concerned that they won't. I'll have to check from home, at work they show reg price.

  9. They sure do look nice. I've got an alert set from Adorama to notify me if they drop the price again. I'm itching to pull the trigger.
  10. I got Decibel X. I don't expect it to be perfect as it uses the phone's built-in mic. At least it gives us something to go by.
  11. Glad you found a match for what you were looking for. Just for grins I downloaded a db meter app for my iPhone. I found my normal listening level is 70 and my loud setting is 95db. I then took it to 120 db and realized that is just too loud. However, my Marantz/Chorus II combo was up to the task.
  12. This would work for what you want. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Adcom-GFS-4-4-Speaker-Set-Selector/153049081115?hash=item23a26fa51b:g:sWwAAOSw2spbFT74
  13. I use a Marantz PM-8004 with Chorus IIs. I have also used it with Forte IIs. 70 awesome watts of power that sound beautiful and can drive the speakers far beyond reasonable listening levels. I sold my first unit before purchasing my house. I have since bought a new one and am happy again. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marantz-PM8004-Stereo-Integrated-Amplifier-PM-8004/332646518142?hash=item4d73470d7e:g:SBUAAOSwEMxa8y30
  14. I'm in Phoenix and would really like to get these from you. 900 miles is a little bit much for me, any chance you head down L.A. way and could bring them?
  15. I think a reasonable value would be $1,600~1800. I've owned all 3 Cornwall models and I do not think the 3's are worth anymore for sonic value. Because these speakers are so large I do think that their condition is worth investing in. Clean cabinets and clean grills are important to me and could push me into clean CW 3's over cheaper 1's or 2's. I enjoy showing off my stereo and condition matters to me.
  16. I have no place to use them but still considering buying a pair. I owned La Scala II's and they were my best speaker ever. $5,600 with free shipping seems like a legitimate DEAL to me.
  17. The way you built the mid horn into this motor board is exactly how I imagined building some for myself. Nice job, too bad I didn't see them before they were already sold. Another feather in your cap!
  18. Are you willing to ship? Do you have the dimensions and weight of the boxed pair?
