Great room for great people. Looks fantastic, congrats too. I could go on, but alot already said and good points too. My only suggestion is for you to find you a sub someplace so you can keep the volume down and have it "feel" louder too. Just add enough to give it a little bottom, not a thump thump thump thing.... You know what I mean too. So it sounds fuller. It also will play a little easier over the sound of the machines too. PS. You can kill it when other (Women) come in the "workplace," I mean.... in the Girl Cave! What type of music do you prefer in the Girl Cave?

I will keep it short n sweet, hands down a La Scala. TIMBRE matters! Now wife approval or space may be an issue, but you asked what is the best .. it is.... The Belle has a smaller mid size horn... not the same... The top of the LA Scala is a mirror of the K horn And we "LIVE" in the midrange too. If you really love the K horn just do th La Scala. Period!!

IMO if you match any three of anything.... your 90% there... have three superior speakers.... and it is a home run. La Scalas rule... Heritage sound in all it's glory too. Only possible system that might beat it, is a Jubilee 3 some... no one has been that crazy yet,,,,, although a Jube Scala is close.. it isn't really. I will still argue TIMBRE matters. ALL THREE UP FRONT MUST MATCH!! Follow the rule... And get success.

Doc, It's been fun watching you grow up! You have come out of school with a great education, hopefully a great paying job, and a world of understanding of both sides.. (well maybe not a big full of themselves union side to your heart) but a better understanding of where jobs and manufacturiing go. And why? its dirty perhaps. Try this.. blow some air in there..(volume knob) it might be a dirty pot. Also, once in a while turn it (when off) all the way right and left to keep the insides lubricated. That should help. or get some new wire (you said it switches when you switch wires?) ....make sure the connections are good too. Promedia 2.1 is great!

In a perfect world, with fantastic crosss overs, it would be set it at 80. Try this first, and live with it a while too. Then try it at 90 or in between to see if you have a preference to that. This will allow the low notes to cross over as much as possible seamlessly from the mains to the subs. Only you can test for that, or have a preference one way or another too? You just do not want it to drop out and then boom there is the sub...LOL.. Like I feel BOSE does... It is just too overwhelming. So much depends on what speakers are being used, the room, personal preference, and that last one is hard to judge. What I may prefer, you may not. So just use what we say as a guide too. At the end of the day it is what YOU like, and what sounds best to you as well.

Can u set them manually to 80 and then room EQ? Make the center and left n right fronts all the same. TIMBRE matters. My suggestion and why?? Just set them this way so no wasted power is needed to the speakers, and let your sub do it's job too. You might be very happy with this set up!

naw your fine.. I searched, and listend, and read, and been here a while, too, to ask others... Then I listened some more... and look below at what I came up with for my HT. I bleed La Scala's LOL Because I also love K horns.. It's about dynamics in HT for me! It is amazing! One thing I have also come to believe is if you match any speaker... even three Heresey's up front, it just sounds fantastic as well. Or three RB-5's too. TIMBRE does matter in a HT. Even three so so speakers... xyz brand up front, after a while and with a good clean sub your ears will adjust, and it sounds great. The key is to get the three up front speakers the same. I am a huge believer of this. We live in the midrange... And the tweeter adds the sizzle. Even 3 BOSE 101's up front will do a average to pretty good job... Not with the fantastic clean amazing dynamics a KLIPSCH speaker will give you, but you would survive, too, if you did not know any better. But do yourself a favor and still buy the Klipsch... It will be just that MUCH better to keep u smiling too.
