  2. Unfortunately procrastination has taken a hold. Hopefully will have completed and photo's posted shortly after the first of the year.
  3. Even forte II seam to be trending around $750.00 + since the release of the forte III, they were trending around $500.00 a pair in my neck of the woods prior to that. Regards, John
  4. Cab anyone speak to the overall sound of the Cornscalla? I'm thinking for $650.00 and a tank and a half of gas how could one go wrong? Regards, John
  5. No affiliation. Appears to be local pick-up only. https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649468925-klipsch-chorus-ii-speakers-location-pickup-in-austin-area/ Regards, John
  6. The KG 5.5 is a very nice speaker. Welcome to the forum! Regards, John
  7. I would still change filter every 3.5K miles. Paper filters last at best 4K. I don"t care what the filter manufacturer states. Regards, John
  8. As others have mentioned either forte series or Cornwall. Regards, John
  9. If you send Bob your crossovers for a small fee he will install new caps and return to you. Regards, John
  10. GLWS.... If I may ask, why are you selling? Regards, John
  11. So, what were the results of moving your listening position further back??? Regards, John
  12. Correct. The closer you can get if possible to 12-15 feet, the better they will sound, Try by using a kitchen or folding chair at various distances till you find your sweet spot! Your welcome. Please share your thoughts once you have tried. Regards, John
  13. Roughly 6 1/2 feet from each side closest to the entertainment center.
  14. 15 feet from listening position, 12 inches from rear wall, no toe in = Pure Listening Nirvana! Results may vary............. Regards, John
  15. As we both stated I think his near field listening position is more than 95% of the issue........ Regards, John
  16. INMHO, you are way to close in your current listening configuration. If you can get at least 10 feet from speakers, preferably 12-15 I am certain the sound will change for the better. Regards, John
  17. I own forte II as well. Upgrading the caps or replacing the old networks with new will be a good start. I did both the Ti tweeter and squawker upgrade as well. If you replace the squawker diaphragms with Ti, you will require a band pass roll off so that you do not have the squawker driver and tweeter driver running at the same time on signals over 7.3 KHZ I am extremely happy with the results, basically a forte III for pennies on the dollar. If you want more info. Feel free to PM me. Regards, John
  18. Tomy2 My vote would be the F3. I have owned my forte II new, since 1992. Upgraded networks and put titanium diaphragms in the squawker and tweeters. I have never heard another Klipsch speaker that was as balanced. Subs with the F3 should sound real good. PS. My speakers have never been toed in in over 26 years. Regards, John
  19. Mila, Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Raising them might sound better in the standing position, in a party environment, but again you are losing bottom end INMHO. Klipsch voiced and imaged those speakers for best sound based on direct coupling to the floor. Regards, John
  20. Have you tried placing the forte directly on the floor INMHO they were not designed to be decoupled from the floor. Bass robbing in most instances. Regards, John
  21. INMHO as long as there is a Cornwall version in the Klipsch lineup there is little to no chance of seeing a current Chorus model. Was the original Chorus 1, not a direct replacement of the Cornwall years ago? Best regards, John
