  1. Must have been something wrong with them. This is not any Scala I've ever heard ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  2. Underdog??? No way, Scala's are as close to the mighty Khorn as you can get. The other Heritage (except Khorns) speakers are NOT fully horn loaded. If they are mint it would be a good deal @ 3 times the price! 1977's are good ones. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg This message has been edited by mpgwagon on 03-10-2002 at 01:25 AM
  3. As Paul said "Bullshit". Nothing is better than fully horn loaded. The Scala bass is tight, fast and accurate. If you want vibrate your butt bass, add a Sub. Once you get used to the bass from the Scala's it's hard to listen to any sub. IMHO. Oh.. Scala's can shake your house all by themselves. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg This message has been edited by mpgwagon on 03-09-2002 at 09:11 PM
  4. Cool......... Is this your first Heritage? If you didn't buy em I was gonna. I'll get some soon (I hope),they'll be rears to go with my Scala's. I'm (bigolhorns) high bidder on these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1337948477 ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg This message has been edited by mpgwagon on 03-08-2002 at 09:22 PM
  5. IMHO. The 3.5's are very good. Only drawback is they don't reproduce vocals real well. I second the Scala's. Scala's are selling on Ebay for some very cheap prices. Less than some Cornwalls, doesn't make sense. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  6. Better hurry. Some guy (gal) is buying almost every pair that comes on Ebay. He will pay huge $$$ for them. He's out bid me 3 times! I wonder what he's doing?? ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  7. Kinda like Bose. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  8. La Scala's. Placement is easier than the Mighty Khorn. If you have the space 5 La Scala's would be tuff to beat for Home Theater, 2 La Scala's is tuff to beat for music. Soon I will have 5 Scala's. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  9. I think they sound best 8'-10' apart. You loose the soundstage when they are too close. Also set them up against the long wall in your room. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  10. Welcome back. Kids and family prevented me from getting the Scala's I lusted for in the 70's. I have them know and my kids drool over them! ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  11. John Milner (American Graffiti)said it best: "Nothing's been the same ever since Buddy Holly died" ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  12. Good For you! This will make a great system. You are right, you can never own enough Klipsch .I'm sure this is just the start. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  13. The SC1 is hard to beat for the money. It's a great match for your other gear. Very clear and detailed. It's a Klipsch. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  14. Where is this Polk forum? Maybe all of us should pay them a visit. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  15. It doesn't get much better than the Yamaha for the price, sound quality and features. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  16. Very Nice. I thought I was the only one using a KSW-12 with Scala's!! The KSW 12 actually works great with my Scala's. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  17. I'll trade a pair of cubes for your Scala's.Then you can have speakers that don't suck. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  18. They do have a forum. It's right here! Everything you need to know about Bose is right here. Do a search and see. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  19. In the 80's I had a Phase Tech that was really bad. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  20. I tried (in my house, with my speakers) every top brand receiver out there. I kept the Yamaha. The Denon sounded a little too bright with my La Scala's ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  21. Just curious.....Are people who like Bose speakers called Boseos?? ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
  22. These have type AL crossovers. I would wait for an older pair with the type AA. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg

  25. Why is the sound level from DVD's lower than CD's played through the same DVD player? Some movies really have to have the volume cranked to even hear them. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
