  1. yeah , the mids horn is tiny ,it is the same size and in fact the same mids horn from the Heresy III-- they also raised the woofer higher up , but that makes the sound more boomy at high volume -
  2. how old is the sound bar , ? is it less than a year old ? I am asking just in case the warranty has not lapsed ? are you able to update the firmware ? did you update the firmware ? yes , the board sounds to be the issue , if the Firmware has been updated with no amelioration -

    KPT-904s SOLD

congrats , too bad you were not closer ,2200 miles away --- I would have been all over these speakers -------
  4. or do they look like these speakers ---
  5. Do they look like these speakers ---
  6. Beautiful Lady ---RIP Mrs Dawn Wells , how sad to hear that Covid 19 took another So Precious Life ---
  7. which parts are you looking for , ? please be a bit more precise -
  8. did you reach out to the klipsch parts dept --------?
  9. they sell the aftermarket diaphragms for peanuts from China ---- and you guys are very close by you can replace a diaphragm in 15 minutes ---if you got a mate who can solder , just bring a couple of beers over --1/2 an hour later , you'll be back listening to music in no time ---I buy 2 at at time --10$ https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Diaphragm-for-Klipsch-Tweeter-Horn-K77-89486A-KLP-Electro-Voice-ST350-T35/283187274975?hash=item41ef46e4df:g:NaoAAOSw~ZFbsIOg&shqty=1&isGTR=1#shId
  10. And , you're going with the JEM Performance caps, perfect job @Youthman did his AA in September , the speakers came out identical to the Originals --
  11. the original design did call for brass screws , when I got my LaSscala's years ago , 1pair shipped with brass screws from the Factory-
  12. You can also keep an eye out for the KLF-30 , all the parts of the speaker are available woofers-mids-horns-tweeters , whereas the CF -4 HF driver has no replacement diaphragm available , and is nowhere to be found - The EV Drivers for the CF-4 are by the way phenomenal and literally bullet--proof , do not shy away of a CF-4 with EV drivers since the diaphragm is readily available , and if the price of the speakers is cheaper , so much for the better since these drivers cost at least 200$ each -
  13. Looks great to me , these are turning out to a great looking pair of Cornwalls ---
  14. Klipsch Parts Department are A1 - I was happily surprised that not only were the parts they sold to be klipsch Original parts , of the latest versions , but the price of most parts was equal or lower than aftermarket sellers online or refurbished 2nd hand parts sold online - --yep , call klipsch parts and get the right parts for your speakers at great savings with a full warranty and tech support , they will fit better , last longer and you would be supporting klipsch workers , whether in INDY or HOPE - I can't say enough about the quality of the parts -or the service
  15. let's add a few guns for the Squirrels to shoot back
  16. if you want to use the same drivers and crossover , you must re-use the front motorboard with 0 changes , but you can turn it 180 degrees , this is critical for the front port and the time alignment of the woofer with the HF horn and HF Driver --and the enclosure will sound right - - the rest can be identical in depth to a Heresy IV or III -
  17. I would have really liked to hear your opinion on the CF-4 -
  18. there is no replacement part for the diaphragm of the Original drivers - the EV is the only backup
  19. the ad is 22 weeks old , could be sold already
  20. correct , the screws were messed up during production , they were meant to be non-magnetic -The AA tweeter circuit has a 245uH air core inductor with a non-magnetic screw , with a magnetic screw , the 245 uH bumps to 350 uH -
  21. rotating 180 degrees helps to avoid the cone sagging too low to start rubbing the voice coil , as you rotate it 180 degrees , it settles - Wires are always an issue when you rotate the woofer , the trick is to move the crossover as well to the opposite side , if not , you have to replace or cut wires and extend the length of the wires -
  22. Change the woofer , no , but you can rotate it 180 degrees ------replace the horn seals , no , unless you remove the horn and the seals are damaged ---- -crossover recap - is a pain if you have the round cup as the space is very tight -- less if these are the square cup ---upgrades can't hurt and the cost of new capacitors is quite low -
  23. The information of the KP 250 serial number is correct and yes there were KP250 speakers manufactured by KLIPSCH prior to 2000 , and even in 1989
  24. test the leads of the tweeter with an Ohmmeter for DCR , the tweeter should read between 6 and 8 Ohms anything drastically less than 5 Ohms , or no reading at all would indicate a defective diaphragm -
