  1. $279.99 shipped Promo Code: EMCXPWW76
  2. Those bookshelve speakers will fit in the space you have pre-wired with these mounts from monoprice: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082804&p_id=6839&seq=1&format=2#description
  3. Why are you oppossed to wrapping up and around your ear? I don't have the rugged version, just S4s but I too had problems with them coming out, especially while chewing gum, running, biking, and doing yard work. With the the upside down and wrapping techinque they stay put.
  4. Nice gear good luck with your sale. And Beautifully framed EMEKs.
  5. Since they are so good looking,at least they didn't get sold and end up getting painted white to pass the WAF.
  6. Well I got it all hooked up and love, love, love it! I didn't realize it has A&B speaker outs so I just used the B for the SW-450 sub and A for the RB-61s. My records sound much better and the tuner on the reciever is great.
  7. After googling some, I've read that I can run two pairs of wire from each speaker out, 1 pair to the sub speaker wire in and 1 to each speaker. So I guess I answered my own question, I think this will work. Still wondering if the pre-out or tape (rec) out can be used for the sub. Now I just need the craigslist poster to reply.
  8. I need a new 2-channel (2.1) receiver. I had been using an old AVR for my RB-61s and subwoofer but it has been having power issues and want to replace it with an older, phono receiver. But, can I get a sub out signal from the tape out? Or speaker line level out? Here's the Kyocera R461 I'm considering: I really don't know much about this, any advice or opinions are greatly appreciated.
  9. Sorry for the delay Yoeddy. Finally got a pic for you. I had forgot what I had actually done until I took a look again, not pretty but helped. Jamed some folded up white paper behind the plastic and then took some black foam and shoved it in with a flat-head screw driver. I have no idea how to take the plastic or port off. I'm guessing you can tell if your port is loose by just sticking your hand up in it and feeling if it is loose.
  10. Right behind the Klipsch emblem. I'll get a pic of mine tonight.
  11. I have the RW-12D too and the plastic on the front at the bottom was vibrating. Read about it here or AVS and just shoved a piece of cardboard behind the plastic. I've also read about the port being loose and people re-glueing it. Might want check and try one of those "fixes" before assuming it's truly chuffing.
  12. Streaming and high quality downloads at Internet Audio Archive
  13. My wife and I love Guiness too. We aren't much for beer drinking. She likes her wine and I like bourbon and rum. Not sure if you can get Duck Rabbit Milk Stout were you live, it's a small NC brewerey but if you can find it, I'll bet you'll love it. http://www.duckrabbitbrewery.com/index.html
  14. You did. Nice look'n speakers. Good luck with your sale.
  15. Can't go wrong with a Bill Fitzmaurice design and great build help at his forum. http://billfitzmaurice.net/
  16. Agreed. Very enjoyable, decent LFE but maybe I didn't have it loud enough, my wife commented she didn't hear a thing. First movie I watched on blu-ray with the latest set up was Rise of the Planet of the Apes and my wife was flipping the lights on and off from the bottom of the stairs yelling "turn it down, you're rattling the dishes!" 17. Take a look at the 1712 too. It has the same version of Audyssey as the 2112 without some of the other bells and whistles.
  18. But the RB-51s are rear ported so you don't want to mount them on a wall. Surrounds shouldn't be directional, that's way if you use traditional bookshelf spearkers it is recommended to have them above ear level. While I agree you don't need a ton of bass from surrounds, I would look at/consider getting a "RS" surround.
  19. The 1712 has a better version of Audyssey (MultEQ XT) than the 1912. If you don't need the 1912 bells and whistles, get the 1712. Check Denon's website for authorized sellers. You can get a refurb (1 year warranty) 1712 for $230 at: http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/DENAVR1712/DENON-AVR-1712-7.1-A/V-Surround-Receiver/1.html New for $400 or open box for $300 at: http://www.electronics-expo.com/salesperson/result/?q=denon+1712 The Denon owners thread at AVS Forum has good info in the first few posts for comparing models: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1334369
  20. Am I the only one that noticed this was a 6+ year dead thread that got bumped by a bot?
  21. I have the SW 450 with RB61s for music, love it, got it on sale at BB for $270. Still can't believe it was on sale so much.
