  3. Thank you for sharing. Good price as well! Best of luck!
  4. wow every day something new. looks great
  5. good deal on an absolute great piece of gear. balanced outputs and all. best of luck with sale.
  6. Sounds like you will be good to go. Give it a try and if you find your music i'd describe as soft and a bit staticky a dac may help you out. Even at that point i have found some very simple cheap dac's to work 100% as well as some costing well over $1k. It is preference just like lots of people use turntables or reel to reel machines or even a cd. The best of luck to you
  7. John toon. You my friend pulled off what i thought would be impossible. I'm lost for words. Very well done! Their mint. I'v seen pics of your system/room before although never would have realized you hand built the center. Impressive
  8. My most heartfelt prayers for you both my friend. God Bless You Two, sincerely My 16 year old has her apple gear. My phone is volume off and only for emergencies. No home phone. Knock on my door if you need me. Blessings
  9. agree much here with the dual 8's years. in theater 5/7&9 point 1,2 or what have you surround sound are great in many configurations. as of late im pulled towards all being identical center included. Seeing and hearing for myself the rc64ii in several different configurations in terms seems to haul the mail anywhere/way its placed. so far iv thought of and heard others of possibly going 7.1 with all 7 in surround sound being rc64ii. cant remember it ever being done. entertaining thought
  10. Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate sight of unique unusual high end gear. Especially in modern 2.2!
  11. Im all in! heck i wont even need cash your buying way it sounds. The big hammer just has to make it to nevada! man jason your right there in chi town. few hours away..wife and i spend time there and around cook co frequently. christmas we spent a week. sometime would be neat checking out a bill fitzmaurice design or 2 that you may have. iv heard danleys and the unstable cv earthquakes and other popular pa designs although no tht's or these ultra premium highly rated table tubas etc...I have 2 18's in my room and would struggle to fit one in my rooms right now yet in about a year we are moving into a townhome 3 times the size were in now...man, we just signed another year lease and though cost of living here is very modest i have to walk sideways through this duplex lol not really though farely close... thought about asking before. there are a couple other active forum members that are between you and i as well...your more than welcome a visit to ft wayne if your near...steak dinner included
  12. Get a 3mm to rca wire and try it. If its not what you want then read beyond this point... If you downloaded digital media and prefer it be analog then yes a dac is no doubt advised for use. Using a dac completely depends on if you want digital media to be converted. Likewise a cad converting analog to digital material if you so prefer...everybodys on the dac kick as im sure manufacturers Love$. dacs are hip to the times specifically for the use of converting material mostly consisting of phone type devices that do not have sound capabilities modern pc's have. i have studio gear that would do very well. No doubt best choice would be a simple or a nice gold plated 3.5mm to rca as well works super on modern pc's/mac. great quality sound. i stream music near endlessly at times. easily equal quality to my yamaha cd s-2000 which i could also run music through. the less wire as well as machines you use the better. pure fact not opinion unless you truly need digital material converted to analog. unless your pc is more than 3 years old and possibly a bit older a dac is not needed depending on the material and preferences you have. A dac will actually complicate the signal and sound inferior in many cases. Yes your going to read everywhere dac dac dac etc etc etc...its about $. A good pre will do every bit as well as a dac depending on preferences. Sure and especially through what are becoming archives on dac's because of the digital downloads some people may find some dac's provide superior reproduction then again its like catsup or ketchup or mustard or plain its all choice...
  13. man iv been certified in about every brand autopaint made but may come outta retirement i read it he is going kaput with klipsch and it came out kpisch so il paint his topper for his khorns. finally got to one of these goood deals intime
  14. I would take it slowly with your upgrades. Call bob crites directly and he will help you. Crites midrange diaphragm is a replacement not an upgrade. If you want the titanium upgrade you should check with klipsch directly. Not knowing the year of your chorus ii i cant say whether i would replace or upgrade your crossovers yet. I suggest waiting 20 years because the chorus ii networks last at least 20 years depending on how they have been used. The next upgrade is to build supports in the chorus ii cabinet to make them more stable. If you do not run more than 200 watts on each of them you may not get a whole lot of superior sound although at any power level they will perform structurally more sound. Next make sure around the outside edge of the inner cab use good material to also support supreme acoustical integrity. If you really want to do this big i suggest seperating all 3 drivers accordingly and that will bring a percentage of quality up as well and can be done while building the cabinet supports. I sometimes run my top secret lol chorus ii with a 440x2 solid state amp and have a lot of fun with them. For the past 2 months they have been with my favorite valve amp. There is one more upgrade i have yet to try. That person who holds the understanding to it would have to offer to you his help. Owe and there a lot more you can try although they are top secret and i have no idea what was done because i wasnt allowed to watch. The best of luck to you. A little at a time is best for various reasons. All in my opinion edit:a topy
  15. gawd i wish there was too cause then i could meet both of you! Man i had been looking everywhere for phase linear gear and i found your sale giving them away lol right when they were sold lol. oh well...im being broke $ right now but got some $100's and a spot for a couple evs. just no time machine...i think that would help to get 2000 miles to get to minermarks aka "the hammer"
  16. hahahahaha very funny boxx your great lol I didnt mean to get political about this the other day im just trying to understand exactly why the u.s. with all our superior technology are limited to not using that technology in certain regions. i mean sure we can benifit by exercising our practices with this technology and surely log possible sensitive information about forign land but then again considering even the american passengers are foriegn nationals, at least from what i see...looks like we are really trying to help and are getting stale info due too the maylays in particular feeling more than inferior...for past obvious reason.. I cant help but be serious in types of situations like this. Heck i was on vacation for the like 3rd thru 6th day after it was deemed a lost flight then when back home once my mrs beeker left cnn on i figured simply "in da sea" from day 1 and never thought twice about that...day 7 my mrs left cnn on got me into discussing this with local friends then onto here. I feel in no way we are a target of it if liner was landed and terror is the forwarded use by a bad group. Still i feel if it even ever really happened the way its said to be (had to say it i mean who knows with all our political bullchit)there is more than a 90% chance it is in da sea and will never be discovered. I have to stop now cause politics is behind even the smallest of things like big dominos falling onto the smaller ones even though they are all the same. Blessings and good cheers to all
  17. too big omg sounds like peeps are wasting your time. these are just some of the best horns ever made but their too big, i'll pass. hmmm even tho im keeping it tight for a bit i'll always have a spot for a killer deal. I so wish i was closer to at least buy a pair of your ev's that are plug and play. i feel for you tho at same time those babys are money. try your 30 day middle east deal. may take a couple 30 day auctions. those things are money! edit;im outta positives at the moment lol
  18. I have very critical listening actual studio cans that are stone cold or a bit harsh when listening depending on quality of a recording and source and music enjoyment phones that are a bit heavy on tone yet provide what i enjoy when listening to headphones that obviously vary from user to user and so many others my wife and daughter uses. I replace my critical listening and music enjoyment phones yearly through each manufacturer Likewise studio hp amp and one i prefer for enjoyment. Feedback seems to provide a bit more when critically listening to recordings or particular formats basically allowing particular flaws to become known for editing. By your description of midrange i would say its possible you have a high end valve hp processing amp good for studio. Actuating high and lows in recordings in critical listening in my opinion and many others is not good. Everybody has their own opinion especially on hp forums you know how crazy they get. Very interesting your vast range of knowledge being put to work in many audio directions. Best of luck
  19. either way makes it nice if i were closer id be interested to support the cause. looks like a bell horn they used as a mid like you would see in intercom systems in large buildings/shops. sure beats the valcano exibit kids do. there are some obvious misinterpretations though such as actually using the corner to seal the low end frequency driver although a great place to start. I wish some adult now who was once involved in the builds could chime in mentioning how much they have learned and show the possible new up to date klipschorn they built thats identical to actual khorn specs. They really did put some work and time into them and is interesting. Looks like this experiment may have been in the 60's or earlier
  20. very, very...very interesting. they look alright in a way. im figuring a teacher taught some high school kids about the legend which would be real cool. I seen them on your link although didnt read exactly who or age of builders
  21. that sounds really cool man. kids are so important. good luck with this
  22. I dont know numbers like some of you. I do know those look very good and i believe every word you say. Very nice work indeed
