How exactly are you doing this because if you're doing it straight from the mp3(320) file you are NOT improving the sound quality at all. In fact you would be doing nothing but wasting hard drive space.

120GB of storage running 24 tracks of 24/192 might get you a song or two. I love my MOTU 896HD and two of those will handle almost any recording siuation one could imagine. If I had almost $20,000 to spend I think I would go a different route.

Are you guys POSITIVE that the 40GB PS3's play SACD discs. I only assume they don't since they removed the SACD logo from the machine. Can some confirm this? This(and the backwards compatibility thing) is what has been holding me back from a purchase.

I thought CBS was just airing heavily edited reruns. I watched the entire first season in two sittings and found it to be pretty compelling stuff. I certainly don't think that it is disturbing and gross. You need to watch Nekromantik or Cannibal Holocaust if you want disturbing. Maybe you should give Dead Like Me or Michael Hall's other show Six Feet Under for something dark but not as disturbing.

Switching to an HD DVD from a regular dvd seems to make the audio levels off balance. The center is really low, the sub is too loud, etc. Is there an hd dvd with a setup screen similar to a regular dvd with the thx setup stuff? I have about 20 discs and I can't find a single one that has anything like that. I try to manually set things up with my spl meter but every movie is different. HELP...

I've heard the PrimaLuna several times and it's a fine, no-fuss amp. The II is the KT-88 version right? I would opt for that over the I if you're not using a sub.
