  1. I've heard most of the upgrades that are listed in various klipsch speakers and all have made a noticeable improvement
  2. Nobody is saying the virus isn't real. But it really isn't what you've been lead to believe. Anyone who is willing to do their due diligence will see how political it is and how we've been manipulated. I'm sorry for anyone who has died from this. But I'm also sorry for others who have died for other unfortunate reasons. You know you can still be empathetic and NOT drink the Kool Aid. Really, you can........... Now back to your regularly scheduled programming........
  3. Very nice. I was considering this one when I bought my Don Sachs pre. I bet it's really good. GLWS. Shakey
  4. I had considered pellet grills, but everything I read pointed to charcoal just doing a better job on the flavor (which makes sense). I think a lot of people like pellets because of the convenience, but the MB grill/smoker gives you the best of both.
  5. Those look very nice. I can't see facebook pages from work, so don't know what the price is. But they sure are purdy........
  6. Agreed. I would pull them forward enough so that the right speaker is in front of that support. That can't be doing the imaging any favors. Shakey
  7. Yeah, even the 560 is not that big, but heavy. It took three people to get it up on my deck.
  8. I just bought one of these over the summer https://www.smokedbbqsource.com/masterbuilt-gravity-series-560-digital-charcoal-smoker-review/ It is a smoker and a grill. It is not a pellet smoker, but charcoal. But it's gravity fed, so you don't have to continuously load the hopper. It has an electronic timer, you set the temp you want and it does the rest with a control fan. It has bluetooth and you can control the temp from the app and also check the meat probe. You can crank the heat up to 700 degrees for searing. Worth checking out for sure, I love it.
  9. That's a good idea. But with the Scamdemic, I guess we are lucky speakers are shipping at all. Shakey
  10. Nice. Now that’s what I would have bought if they had been available. Shakey
  11. From the front they look like cornwalls but they don’t look deep enough to be Cornwalls.
  12. I’ve read some of this guy’s “reviews”. He’s a numbers and measurement guy. I’ve never been impressed and I’m not just saying that because this is about a klipsch speaker. Shakey
  13. Well how is it possible that wifi sounds better than Bluetooth? Both are wireless interfaces. But it does. And why do different cables have a sonic signature? But they do. Hard wired sounds better than wifi to my ears. Not earth shattering, but worth the hassle for me. Shakey
  14. While wireless definitely will work on a good network, keep in mind that if you can hardwire your streamer you can definitely improve the sound. Shakey
  15. I agree that Cornwalls will probably be better than Heresys if your room will support them. I still want to stress that ANY speaker is going to benefit from something better than a Home Theater receiver. The difference will not be subtle. Shakey
  16. It's not about power or clipping the amp. We are talking about a long in the tooth 5.1 home theater receiver. This kind of product should never be included in a high quality two channel music system. Unless someone is a neophyte who believes all amps sound the same. Surely that couldn't be the case in this forum.............🤣
  17. I agree with better amplification. You likely have no idea how good your current speakers can sound. Then if you want to go for Cornwalls, do it. But either speaker will be better suited to a higher quality amp/preamp. Shakey
  18. I have heard fortes sound really good in rooms much smaller than that. But place the listening seat as far away as practical for better driver integration. You should be fine in that room. Shakey
  19. All seriousness aside....... Chromecast audio is not bad. I would prefer it to most Bluetooth receivers in most products. But if you get a quality streamer it will leave both behind quite easily. Good streamers using the raspberry pi platform can be had cheaply (Allo) and are as good or better up to the Node 2i price point. Shakey
  20. Wow, hard to believe these are still hanging around. GLWS...... Shakey
  21. If you have a small to moderate sized room, I would look at the The Fives or The Sixes. Pair either of those with a sub and it might be all you'd ever need. Just add a source. Hell, you might not even need a sub. Shakey
  22. The real question is why are you still using a compressed music service?
  23. Yes, if you want to get technical about it, the Lumin app does run on an iPad. And yes the U1 streamer is technically a computer. I guess what I was really trying to say is there is no reason to have a program running on a laptop with a USB connection to a DAC in order to stream music. Other than the Lumin U1 mini itself, I have no computer connected to the audio system. I run the app on a tablet using wi-fi and the streamer is connected to a network switch which goes to my router/modem. Yeah, you'll never be able to stream from the internet or your hard drive without using SOME form of computer interface. I just choose to make it as simple as I can. When my digital rig sh*&ts the bed I can always spin the black circle. No computer needed..............😁 Shakey
