New Heresy 3s sold at dumping price, per unit
Shakeydeal replied to MeloManiac's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Price is low because of a newer model release and non consecutive serial numbers. With that in mind, several US sites list klipsch speakers per unit but still offer consecutive serial numbers. It might be smart to ask the question to the dealer. Shakey -
I am running dual 15s with my CW IV and they do a really good job of what the cornwalls don’t quite get. I never felt the need for subs with my khorns, but then again I didn’t use them for movies. Shakey
-
True. But unless you have top notch subs with higher sensitivity, the only thing that will happen is that they won’t contribute below what the khorns do at higher levels, they’ll peter out and it won’t be pretty.

Most do, not all. But that little puny sub will run out of steam long before a khorn. I’d be looking at at least some dual 15s. Shakey

It’s a headless computer with storage bays. Just a fancy hard drive. -

That is streaming from Tidal/Quobuz and also streaming files from a NAS drive. -

I had a Bluesound Node 2i running into an MHDT Pagoda DAC. But when I upgraded to a Lumin U1 mini, the sound took a noticeable leap. Still using the same DAC, As for the interface, I tried the Lumin app on an 8" Samsung tablet and it worked ok. But what you really want is something the size of an ipad. I am using an old ipad now and the app is much better on this device. I can't imagine using it with any phone. Shakey -
I will be putting this big boy on the fedex truck tomorrow. Last call to pick it up at my house for 700.00. Shakey

I'm going to return this to the factory next week if not sold by then. So if you are close enough and looking for a sub, make an offer. Shakey

Help! Cornwall IV vs RF7 III for electronic music
Shakeydeal replied to RL1's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
@mustang_flht Funny you should mention that. Last year two ladies who are associated with the re-opening of The Loft drove from Manhattan to Virginia in a van to buy my Klipschorns for that very purpose. They were scouring the east coast for khorns and ultimately wanted 8 pair for the club. Shakey -
Help! Cornwall IV vs RF7 III for electronic music
Shakeydeal replied to RL1's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Having not heard the RF7, my input may be worthless. But I do own the CW IV and I find it hard to believe you wouldn’t love it with any type of music. This is especially true if you are going to use dual subs, which I do too. Although very good with bass on their own, the subs are the icing on the cake when listening to music that plunges into the low 30s and below. My take is to spend the extra $$ now and get a heritage speaker and you’ll never “wish you had”....... Shakey -
Hard to believe these beauties are still around.

I had a VTI BL 304 rack and it changed the sound in a way that I didn't like. Some people here will poo poo my observation, but it made the sound thinner. I ended up buying a Rigid Rack three shelf rack and all was good with the audio world again. I couldn't sell the VTI, so I ended up gifting it to a friend.

Price added to OP. Of course forum members get the "special" price.............

I have an HSU VTF-15H II for sale in Lynchburg Va. This sub was only used for one week and I liked it so much, I ordered two of the smaller ULS-15s because they are a better fit for my room. This thing is a beast and can be tuned to whatever type of listening you do. The foam ports make it a sealed configuration for music listening. EQ switch and Q settings allow you to dial in in perfectly. It is, of course, in mint condition. Double boxed with all original packing material and accessories. Size and weight prohibit shipping. Local pickup is desired, but I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to meet a buyer. Price is 800.00. Cost from HSU to your door is 1022.00. Which is why I can't ship. But this thing is basically brand new. https://www.soundandvision.com/content/hsu-research-vtf-15h-mk2-and-vtf-3-mk5-hp-subwoofer-reviews

Get a proper rack and get all that equipment separated. Not only will it be good for your gear, but you might find it improves the sound too. Shakey

Gone already!

Why would you remove the asking price? This is good info for the archives. Shakey

If you think it would be fun, that's one thing. But any semblance of high fidelity goes right out the window. I'm not sure why you just don't listen to a seedee or a digital file instead of doing all that. Shakey
