  1. Brac I would prefer to not get involved in a bidding war or insulting someone with what they would consider a low ball offer. If your friend has a price, he should disclose it. It is time to step up and provide potential buyers with something solid upon which we can make a decision, at least by PM. Also, a few pictures would be great. Thanks.
  2. Cal, we wish you the best. Try to remember that you need to take care of yourself as well. Sometimes the demands of caring for someone you love exacts a tremendous toll and you do not even realize it until much later. Best, Earl
  3. Sorry...I want to send FLAC files to the DAC and then to the receiver. (The receiver is a pioneer).
  4. If I run FLAC files from my computer to a DAC and then to my HDTV receiver, will the receiver limit the effectiveness of the DAC signal? I have a Pioneer 1323k and am considering buying a DAC, but I read a review that warns that the Pioneer will somehow degrade the signal from the DAC.
  5. Can you be more specific as to the electronics? Model, condition, whether refurbished at some point, etc.? Thanks
  6. I am tired of Craigslist scammers. Over the weekend I saw an ad for a Klipsch sub. The seller claimed he purchased it from Amazon but that it was too big for his living room. The picture he posted showed two subs in boxes. Later that day I went to EBay looking for subs and saw the same picture. Turns out that sub has not been sold by Amazon for more than one year and is a discontinued model. The guy sells audio equipment on EBay for a living. Next, I wanted to see a pair of LS's advertised on Craigslist, but the seller wanted me to commit to buying them and to a price before seeing them. Gee, let me see...you want me to pay for them and then see them. Do they come with a bridge in Brooklyn? This takes too much energy.
  7. I appreciated Fjd's comments. Price and pictures are certainly important in deciding whether to make further inquiries. One of the things I like most about this site is the civility members show to one another and I though Fjd was both constructive and respectful. Not sure why Colterphoto1 got upset. In any event, I appreciate OP's telling us the price, the location and showing pictures. After all, one man's "excellent" is another's "needs work." Also, those of us who are new to Klipsch, do not have the perspective that many of you have concerning a "fair price."
  8. Tried to look at these over the weekend. Owner demanded I tell him what I was "offering" before agreeing to allow me to listen to them. I think he will own these for a long time.
  9. Edroom...Since I tried for four days to reach the seller without success, and I would have bought these, tell me they are in poor condition. And please remember, "I can't handle the truth."
  10. Owner claims these are "pristine." $1,400 and in Rochester, NY http://fingerlakes.craigslist.org/ele/4364485886.html No Affiliation.
  11. I hate it when it does that
  12. Sorry...wrong area. See "Alerts."
  13. I also like Spotify very much. If you have a Apple device you can stream from the Apple device to your wireless amp, preamp, etc. They say that they will soon have that ability for laptop/desktop and android devices.

Damn! That That blonde looks like my third wife! Glad she did better after we split up
  15. Sorry it is from 2004. Thought it said 2014...of course we have not yet hit September 2014. So much for my advice.

  17. Why is it that all the stuff I want is in California, Texas or Wisconsin?
  18. The real concern is that there was no indication from the cockpit that the plane was in trouble. This would seem to indicate a spontaneous event. e.g. an explosion.

    I Love Ketchup

Once in my twenties, I woke up from a particularly bad (or good) night consuming mass quantities of legal beverages. I walked downstairs where one of my roommates was putting ketchup on his eggs. Despite my best effort, I lost all of the previous nights refreshments on the kitchen floor. I have never been able to watch anyone put ketchup on eggs since then.
  20. I tried...they are sold.

    I want one!

I would not buy it without knowing what kind of audio system is has in the cockpit. Could probably fit some Khorns. Just need to watch for those sudden air pockets!
  22. Thank you, Ski Bum. I have a better understanding now. Will I need a separate processor if I buy the RT-10D's? (Waiting for my slap from Canyonman for hijacking the thread).
