  1. Ha Ha watched the trailer and that skinny cream puff no muscle women is the "warrior Hero"? It runs like a Hollywood girl and swings that light saber the same way. I bet the sound effects are good though I would never pay to get them. Least they could have done would be to get one of them rasslers or MMM gurls that do look like they might mean business. RIP Starwars you were doomed when Disney turned you into a social justice diatribe and special effects only go so far. To funny did you see all the clowns that showed up as suggested viewing once the trailer played through? Birds of a feather flock together.
  2. The cost is much more than money when you consider your dollars are then turned against you. I honestly can't understand people who are aware of all this still subsidizing this rotted industry.
  3. How do you suppose they are mounting that grille?
  4. Yes and Disney has done just that with everything they have touched now. You can't take your children to Disneyworld Orlando without checking to see when it's poofter day down there so you know when not to go. All they do seems to be agenda driven any more and it is anti family and anti man and wife garbage. Netflix is another and if this link does not turn your stomach nothing will. They all need to be starved out of existence so cut the cord and don't attend theaters. https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2019/10/25/netflix-adds-gender-non-binary-character-to-childrens-cartoon-she-ra/
  5. They have taken all the good ones off. For anyone interested you send me a 200+ gb flash drive and I can load you up with good cartoons. Your children and grandchildren need to watch these and not the new junk and the fringe benefit is you will like them too. You bet and I have all the old Tom and Jerry cartoons and the WW2 "propaganda" pro USA cartoons. I even have the eeeeeevil Martian with Bugs Bunny cartoons banned for racism by none other than Ted Turner and Hanoi Jane when he bought out all the old Warner Brothers cartoons. Those nuts banned all sorts of cartoons that no one thought of as racist until they made them so. Tex Avery also had a bunch banned and there were a number of his made for adults from day one.
  6. I have had all the Heritage except KHorns and the newer La Scalas and Cornwalls and Heresys. I have had a ton of different pro gear and the only speakers that interest me now are larger pro speakers. Roy had a QSC 4 channel Cinema amp he was using in his listening room that he really liked the sound of. I would like to get one of those to try.
  7. "Attack of the Killer Tomato's" any day over Star Wars. Remember "Mystery Science Theater 3000"? All that old stuff is on Youtube and I don't have to leave home or worry about "stealing" movies since Google does the theft. Hooray for movies so bad they make you laugh. They had a guy called "The Ghoul" who was a late night movie host in Detroit years ago. Always blowing things up with firecrackers and hilarious comments and skits interspersed in the cheesy movies they always ran. TV worth watching. Movies worth watching.
  8. That's right and if I am going to do a mindless thing it will be with a book of some sort and not the TV. Looking at the skinny SJW broad, ohhhh can I say that, at the beginning of this thread and thinking next year they will have to replace real women with fake women like the one winning bike races if they want to stay relevant to the latest outrage. These people are nutso and Hollyweird promotes it all. Can you imagine the meetings that go on and the arguments as to what special interest group gets first priority and how to fit them into the plot? Disney is not what it once was. I have all the old Disney cartoons from the late 20's on. All the old Popeye and Warner Brothers and Tom and Jerry and Woody Woodpecker. Funny thing is you let kids see these old cartoons and they choose to watch them over the new anime junk. Remember when the Three Stooges were perceived as violent? Wonder what they would say about today's realistic shredded body parts, bullets, bombs and gore as video games and most movies compete for greatest shock value.
  9. Remember when "1984" was required reading? The current crop of students I run into can't be bothered to read this on their own and it sure is not read in Civic's class if there is still such a thing. I bet they would faint at the mere thought of reading "Atlas Shrugged".
  10. I checked other because I absolutely refuse to fund people in Hollywood who want to destroy America. Who want my grandchildren to have less than I do and be sexually perverted and want socialist tyranny installed AFTER they have their millions they don't want to share. I am sick and tired of virtue signalling from imbeciles who want to slam the door of freedom and wealth closed behind them after they got theirs. I loved older movies like Spartacus and Miracle on 39th Street. Patton and others come to mind where the good guys win and there were moral themes and God was not exiled and cussing and skin were not there where I had to worry about what my kids saw if I took them to see a movie. So how many social justice warrior tick boxes did they get with this one? These people are disgusting and I could care less about super duper sound and visual effects when it is busy portraying garbage. I highly doubt I will ever go to the movies again or spend any money on them again. TV is the same and we don't have cable or satellite nor seek out local channels because of ads and all the Hollywood crap I mention above. Many years here without and every time I see things at peoples houses or Doctors offices or where ever it seems like what could not possibly get worse has. Frank Zappa's 1973 song "I'm The Slime" was ahead of it's time. "I'm The Slime" [backing vocals Tina Turner & The Ikettes] I am gross and perverted I'm obsessed 'n deranged I have existed for years But very little has changed I'm the tool of the Government And industry too For I am destined to rule And regulate you I may be vile and pernicious But you can't look away I make you think I'm delicious With the stuff that I say I'm the best you can get Have you guessed me yet? I'm the slime oozin' out From your TV set You will obey me while I lead you And eat the garbage that I feed you Until the day that we don't need you Don't go for help... no one will heed you Your mind is totally controlled It has been stuffed into my mold And you will do as you are told Until the rights to you are sold That's right, folks... Don't touch that dial Well, I am the slime from your video Oozin' along on your livin' room floor I am the slime from your video Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go I am the slime from your video Oozin' along on your livin' room floor I am the slime from your video Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go
  11. The Cornwall IV's are really good but they are not cheap. I have had only one set of newer JBL's and I can't get rid of them. Never again and they are power hogs on top of sounding crummy. Great combination.
  12. I do too. But for me the question is leave them raw or use poly.
  13. My vote is for satin spar polyurethane. I like a dull finish that allows all the beauty of the wood to come through and not be distracted with glare from a shiny finish. Birch will darken a fair amount with this and polyurethane will also help strengthen the wood at the sharp corners and be more resistant to chunks picking out on the edges. I like Watco for Walnut and Oak and it is recommended by Klipsch if you have oiled cabinets from the factory.
  14. It was treated. The sales dude went diving and then rubbed the cables on his greasy forehead and sold them.
  15. If WAF is not the determining factor and sound is, he will be doing a great dis-service to himself by ignoring the Jubilee.
  16. There have to be some up there and I will be interested in your comments.
  17. OK switching from speaker to speaker with the same input wattage the db output from the La Scala was the clear winner. However the La Scala has some resonance issues at certain frequencies and certain instruments that is very distracting to me and the Cornwall didn't. I have two sets of LSI's in my shop right now I am working on and heard the same annoying problem in Hope so now I know it is not just these La Scalas I have here. EQ has helped here to mute this problem but I have found no way to eliminate it entirely. The La Scala was brighter and drums would impact you more. The Cornwall beat the La Scala silly in bass. The Cornwall was, to me, far more balanced and just as articulate and played anything with great clarity and no annoying resonance problems. I would far rather listen to any of my favorites on the Cornwalls and feed them more watts to get there. I write this shaking my head as I have spent some time boasting of Chorus over Cornwalls, which is still true for everything up until now. You turn these new Cornwalls up and the La Scalas just don't cut it at the same db level from low to high volumes. The presence is just startling to me. Don't take my word for this but go and hear a set before you buy anything. Oh and Jubes are the KING and you cheat yourself by not giving those a listen to. The new Cornwalls are much prettier if that seriously matters and are a big step up from La Scalas in my book. Jubes #1 New Cornwall #2 and La Scala #3
  18. Yes they were and there is a big improvement there also. The Cornwalls were the startling ones though. You have the Super Heresy and I have not heard your version, but since I have a version of these I have been fiddling with the new Heresy was not as dramatic as it would have been had I never heard one of the Super Heresy variants. I don't know what upgrades could make older Cornwalls as good as the newest one. Look I sell tweeter upgrades so it's not like I don't believe in improving on old. The new Cornwall is a number of things and the old Cornwalls just can't be the same without cabinet modifications and a new tweeter and mid range and crossover. I don't know what the woofer is and that question never came up as far as I remember. The aggregate of all the pieces Roy put together is different enough that for the first time there is no way to get an upgrade from Klipsch for older Cornwalls.
  19. If you get a chance go hear them. The only current Heritage speaker that will beat them I guess, since I have not heard a set, is KHorns. For my taste in the same room with the same music source they were much better than the new La Scalas.
  20. WOW twice it did it!! I have got to knock off the dust for sure.
  21. No I have no idea why the double post!!!!
  22. No I have no idea why the double post!!!!
  23. I am trying to remember if this is possible. For some reason I am thinking the motorboard for the mid tweeter section has changed. The Jubilee is superior to the La Scala in every way. The idea of a 402 horn on the La Scala bass bin being anything even remotely as capable as the Jubilee is not correct. The Jubes will beat up the La Scalas all day long in every way. The Jubes are cheaper than the KHorns and much more speaker. Basically the Jubes beat anything in the Heritage line with ease and what you have to decide is form over function or function over form. The very best sound from Klipsch does not have veneer so you want pretty or awesome sound? That having been said by the way if I wanted pretty the new Cornwall is better than the newest La Scala in my book, both of which I have heard. I have not heard the newest KHorn and am relying on those who have to form my opinion on what is best. You mention not having heard many of these potential options. Very first thing I would do would be to find people on this forum who own what I am interested in and go hear them in person. BEFORE I bought anything. You go hear a set of Jubes and you will forget real quick wanting another decorator matching piece of furniture to coordinate with your decore and discover instead the world of hi end audio. Something I puzzle over with people looking to match room decore as a serious part of audio selection is this. If a speaker box offends you find a way to disguise it. Get a silk screen something or another with your favorite picture on it and put it in front of the Jubes and then the black box looking thing won't bother you.
