Push type. I was thinking about you regarding K-55-V as I consider you the authority in this area.

If you can find them on the used market (rare in Canada), the La Scala would definitely give you a club sound as they can be played LOUD. For that club sound I would also look into some large subs, 18". It's easy to DIY subs and save some money. Add a Behringer NX 6000d and some Neutrek Speakon connectors/cables, and RCA to XLR cable and you're ready to go.

Cory can't sell to Canada.

I suggest you read on the Crites website what Bob had to say. It would be better than me interpreting what he said. Dave's Opinion: The Type AA's are sweet sounding at all SPL. You can use the OEM K-77 tweeter with this one, 6000 Hz XO point. I used to own Type AA's in LS and Khorn. A-4500 - Lowers the XO point to 4500. The stock K-77 cannot handle the lower XO point. A more robust tweeter is required and in the Crites world that is the CT-120 or the CT-125. I belive most people like the CT-120. I have never heard either one. I owned the A-4500 and used it with my 1978 Khorns. AK-3 Most consider this an excellent sounding XO. I have never heard it. +++ I ran my 1978 Khorns with the Crites A-4500 and a much more robust B&C DE-250 coupled to a 12" SEOS waveguide, on top of the Khorn. The sound was a MAJOR upgrade IMO. The sound was much more full as more content came out of the tweeter section.

Well put Zen, I felt quite welcomed when I first started posting here April, 2014. I've met a few of you live! and in-person. I purchased a few Klipsch speakers thanks to the group I've enjoyed my music on a higher level. Can't ask more than that.

Here is a pair of VOTT HF horns for $275. I don't know if that helps you guys interested in the LF enclosures, the subject of this thread. NO AFFIL https://huntington.craigslist.org/ele/d/huntington-altec-horns-vott-tops-pair/7297670937.html

K-55-V For Sale in Huntington, WV. $250. No affil +++ Dave's NOTE: I track K-55-V in my spreadsheet. $153 is the average per pair. Maybe the Seller will negotiate. He says "prefer local sale." I'm pretty sure both of those drivers will fit in a Flat Rate USPS box, around $20.

Rosewood is a rare finish. It is one of the few veneers which is genuinely Value Added.

National Finals: This is it the game we've all been waiting for. Pre-season and current National #1 vs National #2. The committee got it right. Five minutes in and National #2 Baylor is leading National #1 Gonzaga 16-4. +++ My WVU Mountaineers are long gone but our conference is not. Go Big 12, go Baylor! +++ Final: Baylor 86 - Gonzaga 70

I had not heard that. As I said I've tended to ignore all the Covid stuff, I find the death statistics every day depressing. Thanks for the info. I play racquetball 2x and pickleball 3x per week, about ten hours of exercise. Yes, I know picklball is not exercising but it does get me off the couch so I'm not lying around the house eating bon-bons. I did a face plant playing pickleball on Friday. Stepped on my own foot and went down head first without being to catch myself with my hands. I hurt both knees, both elbows, my head and I thought I broke my thumb. It knocked me out for a few seconds. It thought maybe the sleeplessness was due to sore muscles from that. Whichever, I hurt pretty good all over today but I'm sure I'll be better tomorrow. I've got pickleball Monday morning.

The black and brown actually don't look all that bad. I'll try to be more supportive from now on. 🤜🤓🤛

Thanks Moray but I have to say my interest in getting the shot is purely self-preservation. I don't care about Big Pharm or Big Gov. I care about me. I live in West Virginia where due to our general isolation we didn't get hit with the Covid19 like big cities and big states did. I took the Covid19 with a very cavalier attitude. That is, until a good buddy of mine got it. It hit him hard and after 10 days in a coma in ICU with only a machine to breathe for him, it got real to me, real fast. My buddy who is 78 and strong as a horse damn near died. Just as they were about to pull the plug on him he made a miraculous recovery. His wife, kids and grand kids were discussing who was going to say good-by to him in what order. He was that close to death. I'm 65 and I have every risk factor in the book. I want to make it to 66.

I'm up at 4a, can't sleep, went to bed at 1a. This is unusual for me. I'm usually very comfortable in bed, but for now I keep tossing and turning. I feel very uncomfortable. I had my Johnson & Johnson Covid shot at 10:30 this morning. I didn't have any reactions to it that I know of, the stick didn't hurt and I had a sore shoulder for about an hour. That has long passed. You don't think it's the shot, do you? I got up because "the book" says if you can't fall asleep after an hour, get up and do something until you're tired, then back to bed.

I don't mean to improperly impune your speaker choices but those square things are ugly. The speakers are great but I've seen the squares live and in-person. They're ugly. My vote is to stay with the ugly theme. Orange.

In your honor. Gabriels Oboe, from The Mission. -
I know what you mean about the outliers but I don't judge that. The numbers are the numbers, nothing personal. Could you add a little info about your LS's? s/n if you have that, year, finish, condition, and in what region or town were they bought. Thanks! -Dave

How about 40's big band? Be sure to catch the Nichols brother dancing at the end. Jumping and landing in a full split only to bounce right back up without any effort. Incredible. -

Glad your EMM6 can now be calibrated. It turns out the calibration file was on PE in the form of a .txt file. Thanks for working with me @Lbk. Good luck to us both of us in calibrating our systems. I think the work has just begun. -Dave

I found what I saw yesterday. There are two models with the same name! One is USB, the other is XLR. You have the USB which is what I can use. Let me send you a PM and we'll discuss price. I am OK with finding the calibration file and I think you can find it too at PE Tech Support. +++ Concurrently, why don't you contact Tech support at PE? I'm sure they could send you the proper file. I don't want to buy your mic out from under you (which is worth the most to you) and then find out that file was available to you. I found this info on the site: Please email or call our Tech Support Team for assistance at tech@parts-express.com or 800-338-0531 option 1.

I'm good with computers, not yet good with Umik and REW. Let me get back to you. I've got plans now but the mic looks like it uses a USB cable. I swear that's not what I read last night!

I know nothing about calibration mics but it looks like I need something which will plug into the USB port of my laptop. The UMM 6 has an XLR cable. It looks like that mic will not work with my laptop. Am I correct about that?
