  1. Nice rack of equipment! I do have them sealed in the corners with pipe insulation. Cincy
  2. Yes, it’s a finished room above the garage. Cincy
  3. Sunset Beach, in the Sea Trail sub division. Ohio is too rainy! Cincy
  4. Chris and Kevin, Thanks for your help. Moved everything around yesterday and am pleased with the results. Here's a pic of the new location: Thanks again, Cincy
  5. Thanks Chris. I'll move things around tonight. Now, I just have to remember where the heck I packed my microphone! Cincy
  6. Moved to a new home in southeastern NC. The room I've been allowed to use for my 2 channel system is going to be a challenge. The room is 17' 10" long x 12'1" wide with 8' ceiling. I placed the Khorns along the long wall to start. I think the room is too narrow for that. Here's a screenshot of a room modes calculator I found on line. Not sure what to make of this. The link to the website is : https://amcoustics.com/tools/amroc?l=18&w=12&h=8&ft=true&r60=0.6 Open for suggestions, want to get this room setup as best as reasonably possible. Planning to be here a while. Thanks, cincy
  7. That’s true. However, my initials are MAT. So close enuf for government work.. CincyMat....
  8. Hey there everybody. Been a while. So, tonight is my last Saturday night here in Cincinnati. Moving to North Carolina next Friday. Big change in life. Listening to CSN&Y with a little Joni M. Khorns are keeping up their end. Hope they sound twice as nice down south. Cincy PS: I'm not changing my name after my move to N.C. 😁
  9. Welcome to our little corner of the internets. We're glad to meet you! Cincy
  10. Glad you're OK. My office near Huber Heights had power restored last night. No damage to the building, that we know about yet, plenty of other places not too far away really took a hit. By your "45 years isn't long enough to forget" I'm guessing you where in or near Xenia in 1974? I grew up near Springfield and remember driving through Xenia about a week after that tornado. cincy
  11. Honey, I listed my Khorns for sale just like you told me to....
  12. It's a standard image format for iOs devices. Been around since 2017. Nothing nefarious going on here. to the OP's question. Are those motor starter style caps available? I think I read Bob C will rebuild using them. I had them in AA xovers in the La Scalas I bought from Matthews. Cincy
  13. Here’s the file. Wasn’t that hard to figure out how to open.... I'd call Bob Crites. Cincy
  14. It’s good you’re taking your time. I wish taken the opportunity to listen to various Klipsch speakers before buying my first pair. The La Scalas and Kilpschorns, imho, look as good as they sound. Both will fill a large room with sound while using very modest amounts of amplification. If you don’t have good corners, then the La Scalas with a sub woofer will make a fine system. I've gone both routes and went with Khorns as my permanent speakers. But I had to remove a gas fireplace from my family room to have two corners. La Scala room Khorns I’m sure someone near you would offer you an opportunity to listen to their systems. Cincy
  15. Well that's a different kind of issue. Just how high are you projecting the water to get? I hope you have flood insurance in addition to your named storm coverage. As long as whatever you are using for risers is solid and connected to the floor That will be fine. Good luck.
  16. Sump pump, install one. Too much cash invested to have water intrusion issues.
  17. You guys lost me at the flux capacitor! These babies must be Gigi-Watt rated.. Cincy
  18. Bob makes very good replica cross overs. You won’t be disappointed.
  19. Yeah, looking at them isn’t the point anyway.. IT'S HOW THEY SOUND! Listen, closely, to the advice you are receiving. Best of luck. Cincy
  20. Congrats on the new Khorns! Just put them directly on the floor and listen for a while. Then decide if raising them makes sense. Have fun! Cincy
  21. WTH? GLWS. and, no I’m not interested. Rich is a great guy to do business with. Insist on garage delivery. It's a steep climb up the stairs from his listening room! I am interested in what you’re doing next! Cincy
  22. Wow, don’t play it if you don’t love it!!! Cincy
  23. My wonderful wife got me this for Valentine's Day. First time out of it’s wrapper, tonight. sounding properly bluesy... cincy
  24. @Full Range BTW, my lovely wife and 3 of her friends arrived yesterday in Sydney on a cruise. Magnificent county you have!
