  1. I have a pair of HBR's, consecutive Serial #'s, with intact tags, risers, and single owner, 1986's, for only $875. They sound "amazing", so you know why I "want" $875 for them. Considering that the tags are intact, cabinets have risers, not a single water ring, and better photos available, I believe I'm surely within the acceptable price range considering the Chi Town link noted above. I believe I paid $800 each for these in the summer of 1986 so you'd be getting over a 50% discount. Even more if you consider buying power then versus now. Wow, that summer was an eventful one....... NO need to comment, just reminiscing. No jail time, but surely too close for comfort on a few occasions. Anyway, If you want pics, bring your cash & you can take all the photos you want - AFTER you buy them.
  2. So, are you located south of the 40th parallel, or do you pump heat into that area?
  3. Not really, just the typical hype surrounding a group of overpaid individuals playing a game of catch on TV for the sake of "entertaining" us - or providing a means to place wagers and make a select few in Vegas even MORE $$$.
  4. I have a pair you can borrow, but beware because the vision they provide is very "rosy" and not necessarily accurate of the immediate surroundings.
  5. Our forecast shows a high of 24 degrees over the next 10 days. At these temps, it doesn't matter how well insulated your doors are. Without the preferred ventless heater or other means of heating, that space is better uses as a great big refrigerator at best. LIftmaster 8500 / jack shaft opener looks like the newest technology available. Pricey with limited availability, but definitely offers some benefits.
  6. @kevinmi "Only" 250? - No wonder my GM stock is underperforming. Just yankin your chain acclaimed shop rat. GO, Michigan manufacturing because tourism just won't get it done !!!
  7. Again? Maybe this time - "in time", to avoid embarrassment.........or worse
  8. Maybe it will fall out of the plane and land in my back yard, landing softly in the recent deposit of 8" of snow.
  9. Congrats to the Philly Eagles. Slightly apologetic for the slighted view & lack of confidence in an aged QB from the U of M. Brady's had his, so it was time for another. Great for Folles, but where's that leave Wentz? Patricia is coming to Detroit, but it'll be a few years to get the roster in shape. Will the fans have the patience necessary to field a winning / championship contending team - at any time? Will ownership have the tenacity to hold their high dollar players & coaching staff ACCOUNTABLE? If not, it is all for not. Fingers crossed for the future.
  10. @Woofers and Tweeters James, It takes a liver, and a kidney, to reach that level of "experience". @Rivernuggets @DizRotus Congrats Seems like this item will fly nearly right over my head at some point, unless it goes ground around me.
  11. This looks like a $200 to your door package deal. GLWS
  12. Late to the party, but as a MI resident I like to bet AGAINST the MI contingent only because they recruit TOP talent and routinely fail to deliver. This is why the local kids gather behind MI State. Eagles. They are due, unless the "dy-nasty" can pull out some Bs for the cause. No "deflate gate" in this one, and NO $$$ on the line. Fun to watch. Even though Patricia is coming to D-twa, I not sold that he can remedy the accountability issues in THAT locker room. Enjoy the game boys -and girls.
  13. +1 Patina is nearly impossible to replicate but it can be "nearly" duplicated. Try Oldred's suggestion. Nothing better than proven experience.
  14. It's that time of year again where the entire year's receipts & chit gets all dolled up & presented to the "Irritating Revenue Service". So, of course my paper shredder decides to take a dump & I rely on it to clean up the loose debris not needed for submittal. Any recommendations without breaking the bank? Was considering the Royal HD1400mx with a 1HP motor and 14 sheet feed.
  15. A little pricey but it offers some definite benefits. Not yet seeing any real technical statements regarding door opener requirements for single or double door applications. Belt versus screw is an old debate, but what about the necessary horsepower needed, longevity, springs, etc? C'mon now, someone here has some pertinent knowledge of the trade to share.
  16. Quiet? Anyway, keep them comments coming. We've been in this house for 10 years and I recently had to replace both operator springs (two 9x7 doors) due to extreme cold weather breaking them. Now, I have a chain drive opener that wishes to be replaced, and the screw driven opener is getting loud. Recommendations regarding manufacturer, type of drive, and HP ratings appreciated. Remote coded access necessary as well. Thanks in advance.
  17. IF close, they'd offer much less of a headache with procurement.
  18. Many I know have done the same thing and ...........driving it / them home is usually the best part !
  19. @jimjimbo I remember them. Excellent condition, and they were brought to market with a little suspense if I'm not mistaken - "you should see what else I have in hiding" or something to that effect.
  20. Keep us posted on those Hawaiian LaScalas. You are well positioned logistically to make them yours - should the components check out.
