  1. I had the ct125s first and found them too bright. The ct120s were much smoother to my ears
  2. I installed these in my Belles and loved the results!
  3. I've heard this from a few different people but I can say from my personal listening experience in my living room they sounded identical....
  4. The Belle uses the exact same components as the La Scala, sounds the same, takes up less floor space, and (arguably) looks better. The KHorn (if you have the space for placement) is better but 9 times out of 10 people dont have the optimum placement location. The Belle demands a premium because it is aesthetically pleasing and less available. And as a former La Scala and Belle owner I can tell you they sound the same but its an easy decision when WAF factor comes into play on which to get. Also 20wpc is more than enough if you are in an average sized living room at 8-12 foot listening distances. If you are further away or in a bigger house and wanting to listen at reference levels you may want a few more watts
  5. Could keep my dual dayton and crown amp BUT I am neither patient enough nor apparently smart enough to figure out mini DSP and multiple sub tweaking. My Marantz SR7012 only has dual sub out for EQ so Im thinking ID or store bought subs so as to avoid manual calibration. I realize im going to have to compromise somewhere as the room is less than optimal and my budget and placement options prevents me from getting it perfect...
  6. 34ish'x34ish'x10' with two hallways and one bedroom door. Its an "open concept" house...dual dayton HF15 with crown amp is decent but want more....and dont want DIY anymore...
  7. I guess you need to do some more convincing the wife on subwoofer. I would not recommend going to heresy with small subwoofer. Keep the Fortes and work on getting a sub later after the agro wears off. I have Forte iii with subwoofer and its phenom!!
  8. I am 50/50 movies and music. Movie MUST have insane bass, music MUST have tight clean bass....impossible to achieve? Over 10,000 sq ft room with multiple open halls/rooms...
  9. So I'm looking at dual HSU VTF-3 MK5 HP but these seem super nice...I'm guessing dual 12" wont be as nice as the HSU 15"??
  10. Thanks for the review! More pics?
  11. bump. Price reduced to $4500.
  12. Bump. Including all my spare tubes as well. PRICE $4500 firm
  13. It doesn't. The OP never replied to any questions or posted any pics so its a dead thread....

  15. SOLD! Thanks Mark, enjoy and take good care of my babies
  16. I concur (having owned both) but its subtle...
  17. Lower price - $4000 Happy wife happy life.....Too much stuff and have to downsize. I didn't think I'd ever part with it but the day has come. Used, like new McIntosh MC275 VI (from Audio Classics). Have all original parts (including tubes). I am in Northern CA and would like local pickup but am willing to drive and/or ship if it makes sense. Currently has Gold Lion KT88 power tubes and Electro Harmonix pretubes. Asking $4000 Just noticed those ARE NOT scratches on the transformers just dust. I can send more detailed pics via text or email for interested parties.
  18. Stock cloth on bass bin. Matching new Klipsch cloth from Volti on the upper.
  19. wow. Awesome veneer!!! If i was within a 12 hour drive I would be grabbing those.
  20. Best I could tell was late 71 (they originally had AA crossovers). I am the second owner from an estate sale.
