3 Yamaha speakers [(1)center and (2)satellites] wired in series as front channel. The 2 Yamaha slim towers are the fronts, and then the 2 speakers stacked on top of them I have wired in series and are the rear channel. All of these are 6 ohm HT speakers. There's is a Klipsch RW 10 sub and a Velodyne HGS-18 sub. Depending on what I'm watching, I may run in 5-ch stereo or one of the surround decoding programs with one or both subs on. No! You're talking about a center channel. Start with series (won't damage anything) and can play with levels. You're not going to experience any sloppiness in anything in series. You will risk burning up your AVR playing around with dropping the load wired in parallel. Good luck! I'm out of this discussion. Happy experimenting and Happy Thanksgiving!
