  1. Hi heveryone, Mark Lanegan Band "Blues Funeral" Double LPs dark green, 4AD UK @MicroMara Mark Lanegan are a fan of NEU !, Can, Kraftwerk ... https://www.discogs.com/fr/Mark-Lanegan-Band-Blues-Funeral/release/3381268
  2. Hi @Trey Cannon I meant to measure the µF and possibly the ESR of these capacitors, but if you say that this does not wear out then disregard what I said. You are the pro 👍
  3. Hi @jeffryder The capacitors of these networks evolve badly over the years, especially after more than 35 years. You should measure these capacitors to see the µF found and know if they are still within specification. If they are out of specification, consider changing them either by Klipsch aprouved or by replacing the same values in MKP 🙂
  4. Sometimes also the varnish of the coil swells and bubbles, resulting in the speaker working but no longer producing bass: in this case it is necessary to clean the air gap and change the coil. To check if there is not this defect, it is necessary to press delicately on the paper cone, the assembly must move freely without too much resistance.
  5. Hi les gars 😎 I have this album for at least 40 years, my copy is an original UK 1973 press, I 🧡 german music ! Faust IV, look on my pics first title on side A = Krautrock 👍
  6. Hi @dls_123, Chef Bonehead is the designer 😎
  7. Hi @Schu I don't know if this will help you but be aware that there are pro multi-channel amps, very good for sound and cheap for the stock market. Often they are 4 channels, you just need to take a small pro amp for the fifth channel, there are cheap ones between $ 100 and $ 400 For example https://www.thomann.de/fr/yamaha_xm_4080.htm even with DSP https://www.thomann.de/fr/qsc_pld_4.2.htm Example for channel 5 https://www.thomann.de/fr/tamp_s75.htm
  8. Hi men, I am interested in a Class D amplifier from Lab Gruppen PDX3000. Could someone tell me which module it is: NCore, Pascal-audio, native Lab Gruppen, other ... It has a DSP so I want to put it in the bass on my Cornwall III's K33E in active filtering and put my Cary SLI50 on the mid-high horns. In your opinion is this Class D amplifier of good quality for Klipsch Cornwall IIIs. Specs >>> https://www.labgruppen.com/product.html?modelCode=P0CBT
  9. Basilica Notre Dame de la Garde in Marseille, if you observe well there are boats suspended from the ceiling because the Good Mother protects the sailors https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilique_Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde
  10. Hi men, Yes at home in my region many monuments are big and heavy, because they date from the middle ages or antiquity, there are castles, fortifications and churches of the middle ages and aqueducts, theaters and ancient arenas of the Romans: it's beautiful 🤩 Around 15/20 miles of my home Romans: Pont du Gard, Arena of Nîmes and Arles, Ancient Theater of Arles, Square House of Nîmes, Glanum of Saint Remy de Provence ... Middle Ages: Palace of the Popes of Avignon, Pont d'Avignon, Castles of Tarascon and Beaucaire, ramparts of Avignon, many churches. I have to look for the photos (Here we have just started the 3rd containment of Covid 19, so I have time at home 😪)
  11. Hi @dls_123 On your recent version of CWIV there will certainly be network B. Look at the diagram of version B, @CANT has read the capacitor values for you 👍😎 It is not obligatory to change the values to //, so change in priority 7µF, 2.75 and 2.25µF For the resistors, I think it's 8 and 30ohms, look at the diagram of CANT, only 30ohms and in series on the signal!
  12. I found the ramparts and a gate of the fortifications of Aigues-Mortes, the whole old town is fortified
  13. Yes, the road go through the tower for the toll (today the road goes around the building), there was a sharp harrow to stop (or kill) those who did not pay https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tour_Carbonnière https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aigues-Mortes
  14. Hi, Yes, the Carbonnière tower is mentioned for the first time in a text dated 1346 which provides details on the function of the structure: it says that "this fortress is the key to the kingdom in this region. " Indeed, located in the middle of the marshes, it was the obligatory passage to reach Aigues-Mortes: its crossing was subject to a toll. It was manned by a garrison made up of a squire and several guards. The terrace could support up to four pieces of artillery. Aigues-Mortes is the fortified town from which Louis IX's troops left for the crusades. Fortunately today the inhabitants are calmer. I will put you some pictures of the ramparts if I find them
  15. The Carbonnière tower in Camargue - France https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tour_Carbonnière https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tour+Carbonnière/@43.5921377,4.2071553,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x12b69b08d0e56c0b:0x9e5275c79aa3a6a1!8m2!3d43.5921338!4d4.209344 The view from the top
  16. Hi @SpeedLimit Here I simulated Type A electrically. 2 small difficulties: 1 - I cannot put the tweeter on when the midrange is not filtered by a series choke, because the software simulates a high response. Whereas in reality the medium drops naturally and that's why Klispch adds a tweeter with 2 µF above. When there is the 0.5 mH self I can simulate. I would have had to manage to simulate the fall of the medium above 5 or 6 kHz, but for the moment I do not know how. 2 - without inverting the phase of the woofer, there is a hole around 400Hz, but this is not necessarily the reality, because the load in the horn of the woofer can be the phase acoustically: that I do not know and it would be necessary to measure : or do the phase inversion test of the 2 boomers to see what you like the most. Also be careful, you may need to adjust the level of each speaker when listening. For the moment I have not simulated Type AA, we will see later. Pour le moment je n'ai pas simulé Type AA, on verra plus tard Type A without electrical phase inversion and without tweeter, beware the acoustic result may be different because of the load and the midrange curve without the tweeter. Type A sans inversion de phase électrique et sans tweeter, attention le resultat acoustique est peut-être différent à cause de la charge et de la courbe du médium sans tweeter. Type A Phase inversion Type A 0.5mH + 2µF Type A 0.5mH + 4µF 😎
  17. Hello ! @SpeedLimit I had an unforeseen event yesterday, I look as soon as possible when I can do your simulation
  18. Hi, Ok, I'm looking tomorrow. The only unknown is that I miss the characteristics of the T2A tranfo, in particular the mH. Okay, I'll find and simulate these filters.
  19. Hi, What if you bought a spare pair of cones, wouldn't that do your thing? https://reconingspeakers.com/product/klipsch-k-24k-12-aftermarket-recone-kit/
  20. Hi @Toz, CJ MV45 one of my first audiophile dream in 1980, listened to at l'Emotion Musicale in Lyon France.
  21. And here is a soft version, the hole of 3db approximately between 2KHz and 7kHz is voluntary. if it is too much we can calculate an intermediate version, A soft version with your 14µF to avoid looking for a 12µF, This is my favorite for testing 👍
  22. Hi @SpeedLimit Afterwards, if you like a sound that is a little soft and not aggressive, I like to dig a little in the upper midrange around 4000 Hz. If you want I can calculate that easily.
