  1. I called. Never had much luck with email either. I spent close to an hour on phone but they got me to the right guy. Good luck!
  2. Have you tried Klipsch? I recently got a replacement driver for my CF2's from them. The part number had changed but it was an exact replacement.
  3. In theory that's exactly what Rotel is trying to accomplish with tone bypass and I think they've done a wonderful job. Granted it's still running through the integrated pre amp source selector and gain but it's one of the cleanest and neutral sounding integrateds I've heard and surpasses some separates. I've tried turning tone bypass off and setting the tone controls to my preference but I think it sounds so much cleaner and has better balance with it on. Rotel also incorporates a Wolfson on board DAC which is wonderful and what I think is one of the best built in phono pre amps. I shutter at thought of running a phono pre directly to an amp but of course I'm not that educated. Lol
  4. Sorry for the out of focus pic. Took a screen shot from one of my videos. My Rotel integrated has a tone bypass option which does exactly what it says. It bypasses the tone controls which usually, correction, always degrades the signal and sends the source directly to the speakers. I listen to all my music this way usually in vinyl format but do occasionally throw in a SACD. When my last system a Kenwood Amp and control amp with EQ went out. It was the control amp that took a dump. I had gain control on my CD player so I hooked it directly to the amp and was blown away by how much better it sounded bypassing the EQ on the control amp. That's the reason I went from separates to an integrated and chose the Rotel. Best decision I've ever made.
  5. Great site to start building up your vinyl collection. https://www.musicdirect.com/
  6. Not home audio but was installing an amp and subs in my truck and put the inline fuse about a foot from the amp behind the seat. Ran the wires under the sill plate in the door and through firewall and connected straight to battery. Powered up everything sounded great. Went to screw the sill plate back down and ran a screw into the power wire. Note fuse location from above. Lol My neighbor came running over with a fire extinguisher as the wire insulation was burning off and killing mosquitoes in a 1/4 mile radius. Note to self: put inline fuse close to battery.
  7. Just me but RED FLAGS, $1850 (I'm sure cash only) Can't Demo Craigslist He's moving
  8. With the improvements in audio equipment over the years I'd buy new. You can get a great table with a higher end mid level cartridge for under a grand. I picked up a ProJect Carbon Esprit with upgraded Ortofon Blue cartridge for about $850 shipped. Something to ponder.
  9. I feel the same way about vinyl. As long as there aren't any deep scratches in the vinyl my record cleaning machine can get them sounding new in 2 cleanings or less.
  10. Vinyl is definitely alive and still sounding better than any format that attempts to usher in its demise.
  11. http://www.audioadvisor.com/mobile/prodinfo.asp?number=PGVULRK Thought I'd pass along a great deal I ran across on Audio Advosor. Pangea 4 shelf audio rack for $99 Mines on the way.
  12. 400 big block, 727 torque flight, 8 3/4" sure grip 3:53. In the process of buying it now.
  13. Thats an awful lot of work for gas mileage. Did you have to swap the factory gauges out so they'd work with the six banger?
  14. My 1971 Camaro. 350ci four speed. Every square inch completely restored. It's fast and a real head turner. Sold it so I can buy a Mopar.
  15. P mount (T4P). Fits linear track tone arms. Bought last July. Used it for about two months and then my 35 year old table decided it was done. Bought a new ProJect table with a standard cartridge mount so have no use for this Grado anymore. Have original packaging, sales receipt, and stylus replacement tool. Retail is $75 new. How does $45 sound? Local pick up in Houston or I can ship.
  16. Bought from a dealer there a few months ago. Last years model Rotel RA-1570 for half price. Smooth transaction and at my door in 4 days.
  17. Dont do it unless you like your stylus riding against one side of groove or the other. No adjustable anti skate. Probably not a issue unless you upgrade your cartridge. You'll need that anti skate adjustment then since your new cartridge will most likely weigh less or more than what came with it. I just bought a Pro Ject Carbon Esprit. Great table. Fully adjustable and with built in speed box.
  18. I just updated my system. Got rid of the black. Went with a new Rotel. They're making them in silver now. They've got some decent amps in the power and price range you're looking. Plus side is the new 2 channel amps have all your digital inputs for IPod, balanced XLR, and Bluetooth and USB. Did I mention they look good too?
  19. Factory solution Eliminated static for sure. I need a deep cleaner. Going to mix my own using Tarheels recipe. Thanks Tarheel !
  20. CD player is RCA only that's my problem. I've upgraded everything else so I guess it's time for a new deck.
  21. Thanks. May give that a try. How many parts water to iso?
