  1. I wondered where @dirtmudd might be....we're approaching 2200 page's... and thought "somebody" would ring in with 17 video's lol
  2. it's just one (a cab) lol … and I plan to make some test joint's, like cut some scrap, and try the sanding sealer, on a couple followed by a light stain, then one with tung oil, one with boiled linseed oil, one with light walnut.... I did that with a drawer I made to match an old hutch my grandmother gave me, but it didn't look right... I would imagine that I'll just pop open a can of Sherwin William Poly stain in Weathered Driftwood, or whatever it was I have in the garage, that I used in the kitchen... do a coat, sand smooth, then brush on a 2nd coat, and pop a top... the motorboard and inside will be kilz primer with a tan latex probably, which matches my townhome paint... no veneer planned....
  3. me either lol... just thinking in term's for the last 100 year's. I saw a picture in the news this morning, with some T-38 jet's breaking the sound barrier, and all I thought about were Dave's bi-amp connectors on the back of his 301's...
  4. acoustically phased > by physical observation or mechanical detection > voltage directive's from multimeter's > component gate's > flood control > 1919 vs 2019
  5. so I'd reckon that the inventor didn't want the LF in the equation.... only to work best by itself
  6. there is another diagram on page 4 of the pinned crossover thread, when entering this technical forum section (the 2nd post on that page) and if I was to wonder, the polarity on the tweeter uses the mid range opposite connection (positive from negative connotation) thus, referring to the unknown's... such as why, but only answered by raising your hand to answer with (a wire got us here)….
  7. … o O (why is there, what look's like blue painter masking tape, on your inductor's ???) AND the solder job on the yellow wire to the red thing's is not pretty, but I do see a similar yellow diagram (not to be mistaken for yellow wire) highlighting the green wire's.... perhaps purple is in order....
  8. this picture of the separation happening, to me, mean's … o O (something's loose) … so I wouldn't touch 'em… o O (try romex)
  9. … o O (when I finish my Cornwall Project … ) I plan to cut up my workbench top, and make a speaker like @Tarheel's actually stop in every liquor store I pass, and look for a reserve bottle of Woody Creek find a maid
  10. … o O (another reason we need a wooo Hoooooo button lol)
  11. … o O (just about every other thread on here, mention's a Crites Product...) and … I too am a customer, and thoroughly enjoy a pleasant transaction, swift, accurate, very well packaged and delivered, to a "T" with ultimate perfection, with a fine outstanding very accurate result, being like (to me) the day a sale was invented in the course of time, perfected in the whole earth of relativity of transactions,, and this is the way it should be, in my own mind, whether email, ebay, telephone, just right-on, spot on, terrific, very likeable, indeed resourceful, well tested product's, right on, definitely enjoyable thereafter, and into the future, all unknowns are answered, and the band play's on !!! 🙂
  12. Another thread with a B version ? link near the bottom to a pdf https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/94532-kp-301-crossovers-what-do-the-x-over-experts-think/&_fromLogin=1
  13. Dave, I have this spec sheet, that describes the crossover, just an fyi... KP301 spec.pdf
  14. I like coffee… but what I really like... is driving in the country, and waving at the occasional cow, who inadvertently looks my way, while grazing...
  15. … o O (could be "Franks Natural Gas")
  16. … o O (what is FNG ?) in the topic header... btw, welcome aboard...
  17. Mine aren't for sale, but just wanted to think that there must be somebody else that should come along soon....
  18. … o O (is the word - sump pump - anywhere in that estimate ???) …. remember that picture of the Hope Museum Basement....
  19. I set off the smoke detector in the house... on the first pass with that router, then I tried the "step at a time", and it went easier, and faster... it was too cold outside... I used a 15/64th double flute that I got today, which is the plywood version for a 1/4" - just a hair smaller.... I ordered a Freud 1/4" to save a couple of bucks, from Amazon, so I'll clean it up with that one this weekend, when it get's here from wherever...
  20. Bump for a Build Continuation... Got a new Compact Router today... Built a jig to assist in the port cut-out's.... (just slid and measured, clamped and screwed tight, cut a shallow 1/4", then a 1/2" deep, then 3/4" thru).. Plan to start out with the stock CW port shelf, but just attach it with 2 screws on each side block, maybe add Roger Floth's concept in the future, because it's off the AMT thread and I'd be guessing for a capacitor to use... but then... a low priced ice power amp seems inevitable, and maybe before I find a Nelson Pass Pre-amp ... o O (alway's wishing) nothing is sanded yet, still thinking about a cabinet brace too, just wanted to post before I "pop a top" lol … incase nobody has seen an inverted Cornwall Motorboard without the Mid and HF cut-out's... I put the 13 1/4" speaker cut-out where a stock speaker would off been when flipped, so I'd had flutter if I'm doing something wrong, I guess)… it could of been about 2 or 3 inches higher... but when next to my old '54 Klipschorn, it's right about in the same spot, off the floor...
  21. … o O (what's that dotted line represent?) it goes backward between 400 and 320 ?
  22. … o O (as a regular expander) hot donuts suffice... but eclairs entice... hold onto that bacon !
  23. ◽ 4 hr's ago Tarheel said . o O (now someone need's a cabinet to plug these cable's into lol)
  24. my "54" has wingnut's.... that's a Stephens Tru Sonic 103LX2... 😚
