Cablacksmith, sounds like it would work. After purchasing a VPI cleaner I got a better understanding of the whole "washing a record". Sounds like a good idea for those that do not want to spend the money on a vacume system. Probably an excellent alternative.

These recordings are from the late 60`s. Maybe early 70`s. He was in his thirtys at the time. These have been treasures for years.

He`ll get plenty of respect. Just a funny comedian. To get the full effect of Rodney, buy one of his albums. The guy was just a non stop barrage of one liners. When he got his second career in the `70`s it was unique at the time. What a funny guy. If the younger crowd here has not seen Caddy Shack, see it. A very funny movie.

Just a couple of thoughts concerning the Greek games. 1. Beautiful back drop. It was like going back in time to see the future....what ever that means. 2. Yes, they spent more on security than anyone before them....but wait until the next Olympics. 3. Hamn should have given the gold to the true winner. But he did the what is now "American Thing" and kept it. What is the "American Thing"? I am #1. We are #1. And we will accept no less no matter how degrading it makes me or my country look. What I`m saying here is Paul had a change to be a true hero for ever in the history books. But no! It was not his fault that the judges screwed up. But he will never be looked up on as a great champion because of an honest mistake in the scoring that he could have turned into a positive for himself and our country. Instead he choice the selfish route and kept the metal he did not deserve. I believe this example is typical of today`s sports ethic. Winning is everything. Losing is not excepted. Other wise this was one of the best Olympics I have ever experienced. Congratultions Greece on a job well done! Hope you guys get the games again. Very soon.

I guess I`m showing my age here but I prefer the writer`s version of the song over Manford`s even though they did a hell of a job covering it. I`ve got a bootleg from the `70`s of Bruce and his band doing this live on a radio show and he just laughs through the whole thing. I always got the impression he knows everybody in that song. And by the way, it`s from his very first album. The record promoters were selling him as the next Bob Dylan. He loved Dylan but really did not like that comparison. If any of you that for the most part do not like Bruce have never heard his first couple of albums, they contain some of his best work. As you can tell, he`s one of my all time favorites.

That`s terrible. When I was around 9 years old my Dad backed over our puppy Skippy. He felt awful and my brother and I cried all night. Accidents happen for no reason. You should be posting this on the Pro Media forum. Scroll down a little further. But anyway I`ll give it a shot. It sounds like you may have a bad speaker if you switched connections and still had the same problem. I think I would take them back to Circuit City and get another set. I know it`s a long drive but it will probably take care of your problem. Hope this helps....Dr. Jazz

Parents taking their babies to the movies? This is just one of the reasons I have not been to a movie theater in about 5 years. And I don`t miss it at all. The movies, or the laughing and talking, and crying, and..........on and on.
