  1. an el84-based amp? for a second system or to rotate in with the 300b monoblocks? very nice . . . .
  2. i'm running some qs mid monos and a qs remote control line stage on my kef reference 1s. the mid monos are great (i also like the tesla el34 tubes) and drive the reference 1s well on the 4 ohm tap. not the prettiest, but clearly well made. very satisfied.
  3. For sale is my Dave A SMAHL Lense / DE-120 tweeter combo (a pair). Purchased in Feb 2023 and only have about 10 hours of use. In like new condition and includes the hook up cables. Impeccably constructed and sound great. I'm selling because I sold my Heresys. Price is $230 plus shipping.   9. There's no need to be "about right" on the year made. If the serial number (on the tag or stamped on the top back edge) has an "S" in it, then is was made in 1978. If it doesn't, it was not. Please refer to this:
  10. Needless to say -- I agree. For me, definitely preferable to the oak or raw birch. And these really are beautiful.
  11. These really are very nice amps -- and sound great. Definitely recommended. I've used the Mid Monos with some older Cornwalls and the Mid Monos did a great job -- complete control over the bass.
  12. SOLD For sale are my 1975 Klipsch Heresy Is with sequential serial numbers. They're in truly excellent condition with beautiful walnut veneer. Grilles are also in excellent condition. Comes with factory risers. Drivers are K-77s, K-55Vs, and K-22s -- all work beautifully. Capacitors have been updated with Klipsch-authorized capacitors (from JEM). Price is $750. Cash only please.
