  1. Wow, really sorry to hear that, that would be a cool honor though........... Although if he could let you know I would guess you finding a 69 Road Runner would be way down on the list of things he would be proud of you for !
  2. Thought of another old one for you, because you said the Drifters. I had found this one, and thinking well I will take a chance because some older music like this is recorded terrible from the few I have tried. But it says Digitally Remastered by Jerry Wexler, Tom Dowd &Arif Mardin ? Who ever they are they did a good job on this one ! This is a very good recording, The very best of Aretha Franklin, The 60's Rhino label 1994 Respect, Chain of fools, Natural Woman, Ain't no way, Think, Say a little prayer, and 10 more you will like just as much ! So if you feel like 60's this is a very good recording of some really good music, TheBes and the Twins will like this one! [*]
  3. Ok TheBes I do have one for you for your return back. Some friends were listening to some of her songs a couple of weeks ago and made me realize I needed some music from her ! Bonnie Raitt and friends is the name of the CD, "Classic presents decades rock live" by Capitol . It was taped September 30, 2005 at Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City NJ. Don't forget this is a " Live " recording for those who may or may not like the audience noise after a song ? " sometimes distracting " She does 11 songs on the CD which has some " friends " sing with her on a few of the songs, Nora Jones, Ben Harper, Alison Krauss & Keb 'Mo'. Also for the multi channel people you get it both ways, it also comes with a good DVD, I like both myself depending on the mood ! [] The DVD which has the same songs plus a few extra songs looks and sounds really good, better than expected packaged in a CD, could have been sold in the DVD concert form seperate, which may have seen more exposure in the store packaged that way . Also Interviews from everyone preforming is nice to have if you like that kind of stuff ? Bonnie Raitt is someone who has been around for a long time, I had always liked her music but for some reason never had a copy of anything she had done ?
  4. Very nice choice of speakers. One can never go wrong with real wood. Dtel. I really like the pictures of the Corwalls being made. Are these pictures of your Cornwalls? That'd be even cooler. Yes it was, also each person signed a certificate that was given to us when we picked them up, with a DVD that had all the pic's of them being built ! This is when the went home with us. http://www.cyclonecj.com/dtel/home/index.html.
  5. " The beauty here being one can pick up a pair of "used" Heritage speaks, and if there not ones cup of tea, allways get your money back." Depending on where you live, that could be a easy way to try out something different, and sell if it's not for you !
  6. I would think you would be safe with 50# capacity, if one were to come loose the wire may catch it at only 4# ? My son in law has the Quintet II, I was very surprised how big they sound for a very small speaker, they really sound good !
  7. Nice choice ! Want to see how they are hand made ? http://www.cyclonecj.com/dtel/Dtelcorns-small/index.html
  8. That would make a very nice listening room, the only problem the great photos of good looking brides are distracting for most men ! [] You may have to turn down the lights a little so they hide a little, wouldn't want to take them down they are really nice pictures ! I was very surprised [:|] at the sound of the Jamo concert 830's, it was the first Jamo's I have ever heard. They sounded very good for such a small size !
  9. You should be excited, you picked " one " of the best Klipsch makes ! " I'm anxious to see what horns have to offer." It won't take long for you to answer that question, they will jump right at you with that live sound ! What color / wood did you pick ?
  10. I am VERY happy to be stuck with it. []
  11. Very funny Sput, no Bacon jokes, what to serious to joke about ! []
  12. Thanks Professor Thump, I read it a while back but couldnt find it after looking at the new page of descriptions.[A]
  13. Yep past middle age, unless I live to be over 100 ! Arf when a tractor is stuck you are happy with anything that would pull it out ! Those old tractors are tough and have the power and weight to pull almost anything they are not still running around for no reason, built to last ! The main reason we wanted a Kubota was we have 2 different neighbors who have had them for years, and both could ruin a tank they are so rough with things, and their tractors are still running. We decided the model we got was the right size, 30HP, for loading in the treailer to bring to jobs. Also it's not to rough on lawns and can fit through tight spots. It fits through tight spots as long as Christy is NOT driving it, she tore off a downspout and small electrical outlet and vinyl siding off of one of our customers garage once, she don't drive it on jobs anymore ! Arf about the 930 you sent me, there is only one person who would ever get it if I were to leave here and your it ! Not that it will ever leave. []
  14. Banana plants die back every winter here, had some for a few years. I would like to try that, I had seen something like that on a cooking show. If I remember correctly it was about Hawaiian style cooking kind of like what groomlake described but they cooked a whole pig with many leaves below and above the pig, looked good. I gave up on banana plants because I was told they only made bananas on a 2 year old plant. So I put some plants in a greenhouse one fall so they would not die back and planted them in the spring. I planted them close to a fence line and they did very well, they even made bananas. When the bananas got almost full size we had a problem, the neighbors 3 COWS found them and started eating the leaves pulling the plants to the fence. They ate all the leaves and the bananas, ( did not know cows would eat bananas )......( I grew up in the city) after that I just never planted them again. Being in the business we are in we have had so many different plants in our yard we kind of got away from having hundreds of things planted just because we liked them, it was getting out of control. Not counting the Koi pond and the ponds we grow tropical water lilies in we have narrowed it down to our favorite plants. Me I collect Japanese maples and Christy collects evergreen Hybrid Daylilies, that's about it. It gets to be alot to keep up with 6 acres, this summer the heat got to me ( got lazy ) and about all I did was cut the grass and spray for weeds.
  15. You OK out there Arf, I feel old enough already with the last b-day ?
  16. Only two tips, for smoking venison in banana leaves 1.....have a good lighter, it will be hard to keep lit. 2.... you will have to suck really really hard. [*-)]
  17. Sounds nice, have fun, while your there check out their souvenir places and look on the bottom of some of the junk, may say made in USA ! Take plenty of pic's and try plenty of the local food, should be great. Have fun !
  18. Professor T, I have question for you, on the 2 top models is the difference just in looks and size or is there a difference in components, ' quality of sound" . Not much of a difference in price if the quality of sound is better ? Thanks and good job, and was nice to meet you ! [Y]
  19. Bet that sounds great, I love the way speakers sound outside in the open, and that's about as open as you can get ! Great place for a party also, go crazy no one can hear or see you !
  20. dtel

    Will it take off?

If that plane was [bs] powered it could have flown around the world with these 40 pages !
  21. Not quite the same thing but, About 10 years ago we decided to join a gym, after driving buy many times and looking at the banner outside saying $19.95 a month. We signed up and went for about 8 months and stopped going, it turned out to be inconvenient being across town. A few years later we checked our credit and seen a charge for the balance, when you signed up they financed a year and that was what you paid at $19.95 per month. The only thing in the paperwork was stating they were not responsible if you hurt yourself or there was a problem with the stress test the gave you before you could start. I guess we were never contacted about the balance probably because it was so small, but they put it on our credit report.
  22. HarryO, next time you see they connected to your house cut the end off and put a 220V plug on the end and plug it in by your clothes dryer !
  23. " Organized crime should take a lesson here " Sounds like they are doing the financing for rat shack, better pay it or they may pay you a visit !
  24. Easy, Klipsch !......... Sorry to be a smart xxx . You should probably get rid of the ones that go on the bottom, they take up to much space in your garage ! I think the price of those just went up in the last few weeks ! [:|]
  25. Glad to hear that OB, hope it has some of the people that the first one has. I think I have almost everything EC has done, hard to beat an old pro.
