I only know of a couple of members fastlane and ygmn, if you haven't heard, watch the weather it looks like it will get a little windy and wet this week. If it gets to be above cat 1 or 2 we are out of here and we are about 60 miles north of new orleans, all we got from this last storm was about 60mph winds and 4 inches of rain this next storm should be alot more.

Dr John title: N'AWLINZ DIS DAT OR D'UDDA CD 2004 EMI records My neice gave this to me for christmas just happened to listen to it again the other day and thought it would be a good one for this thread. Hard to explain what type of music it is but not jazz more of a blues kind of sound i guess. DR John kind of has a different type of sound , and this cd is a mix of a few different types of music even for him, hard to explain .

Most have a little time to think about it. Has it changed the way you think about klipsch after meeting so many employees and their attitude toward their jobs. From reading all the post and looking at the pictures for a few days now, this don't seem like the kind of company i am used to, most places you deal with on a dailey basis act like they are doing you a favor. This is a very large company and i can think of no other company large or small,that cares about < fans> maby not even future sales to the point of spending their own money and their employees time to put on something like this . For all the effort they put forth, for what less than 75 people, they must really like and believe in what they do. You don't see this attitude very much anymore. I like their products and this forum,but to see how they treat people really means more,and i was not even there. If this happens again next year i will do my best to be there. IMO!

Yes i did,i tilted them forward about 45 degrees. I made a metal bracket with 2 bolts sticking out and just hung on the keyholes on the rear of the speaker. Mine are on the rear wall should sound better though. They sound much more direct, I think i like it better like this. More direct but you also still get wide dispersion just not quite as all over the place. Kind of hard to explain. The speakers are ss1 the bracket looks like a upsidedown T with the long side of the T bent to any angle you need. The top part of the T the short side has two holes drilled and just screw to wall then just mount speaker on the two bolts . I think when i switch these out for forte lls to match the front i will put the the fortes hanging about the same way in the rear. The brackets will have to quite a bit different maybe holding a shelf, never got that far yet.

dtel's wife here: I was going to offer Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. I am glad everything worked out okay for your friend. This verse is always helpful when in need. I don't mean to be preaching to anyone, so please don't read anymore into it than what it means. Amy will have a stroke if she hasn't been paying attention and realizes there are three pages of religion and politics that she missed. It is great to see that discussions can be held without people "losing a grip". I think Amy will be very proud of everyone that participated in this thread. When given a chance to discuss religion and politics, you guys post faster than the pages can be read. Three pages since 12:30 today. I have never seen so many replies so fast without someone giving something away. I kept reading...waiting for the give away to come.

It is really very simple if you don't like the subject don't read or post,no real reason to argue. I don't think he asked to convert or preach to anyone. Your belief or opinion is no better or worse than anyone's the only difference is it is yours.

I will not go to the show,crowds,people dont stop talking,price. And i am sure it has went down hill in the last bunch of years. To give you an idea how long it has been for me, the last movie i went to see was comeing to america with eddie murphy that was many years ago.

Yamaha rxv 730 $500 At the time about 1.5 years ago I could only compare side by side with denon and liked yamaha much better plus where i bought it they double the warranty for free.

For the price you can't beat dlp also the picture is great. 65" under $2000,i bought a toshiba,why spend alot more when things changing so fast.

I won't bid if someone here on the forum is biding, one reason is i am cheap. Also too many other projects started ,and many more planed, so i must go a little at a time. Check some of these profiles, many here are not playing. Would love to hear some of these systems, although it might be cheaper if i don't.

You guys don't know how much this tread has helped answer some of my questions just getting forte ll. Forte ll for center or academy what would be your choice. Chorus ll for mains or forte ll with the rest forte ll and or academy. Just want to do it right this time and it will take time to hunt them down, want to be sure what i am hunting for and not trying to make up my mind at the last minute. thanks

It's a yamaha reciever rxv 740, for the speaker setting it ask sub ,main,or both i had always used sub before but the forte ll went much lower so i tried it with music and it sounded better < had rechecked the phase and crosover first>. Movies go much lower though, diden't want to break something I think the crosover is at 100 and can't be changed on this yamaha,not that that would help for my question.

Thanks DR it sounds better set to large on just the mains. I just diden't want to cause a problem for the forte, just was not sure about movies, music don't go that low. thanks for the answer

If I set my main's to large on reciever and send the lfe to both the sub and mains , what happens when a movie has much lower bass than what the main speakers can handle. I had always had the main speakers set to small, and when i put the forte ll in place of the sb3 i wanted to try them on large setting. i must be missing something very simple
