  1. Glad you had a safe trip and rescued that pair of Khorns, they needed to go where they would be appreciated.
  2. That's very true, I have heard a pile of different Klipsch models and from the tiny Quintet to the best and biggest klipsch makes they ALL have that Klipsch sound. I don't know if it is the horns or just the way they are voiced or both but there is something there. And you are right that is quite a legacy that PWK has left !
  3. I think people underestimate how much of a difference this makes, very good choice your going to love the sound. Very nice comparison, not many have had both setup exactly the same to compare like that but it sounds very similar to what others have also said.
  4. A few year ago we knew someone who would buy out extra stock from different companies and resell in his store but you had to buy by the case, we were able to get some bacon like you talked about but it was maple flavored. This stuff was so good when you cooked it the whole house would smell like sweet maple syrup, I have never found anything even close to that again, great bacon. Strong maple and smoke flavor not salty at all and did not shrink to nothing like regular bacon.
  5. We got 3/4" of rain a week ago and it is raining to day, this is the only rain we have had in a month with temps from 95-100 for the month. I just finished blanching and putting 3, 1 gallon freezer bags of tomatoes to freeze, plenty more to come from the way it looks. Also breaded some sliced green tomatoes last night with some more eggplant to go with some grilled chicken. [] The snap beans have almost come to an end, but still making flowers so we will see.
  6. It's always a good day to pick up some new speakers ! [G]
  7. Nothing a little duct tape and rope couldn't handle, and some good anti crazy medicine !
  8. That just about says it all, just perfect.....Thanks
  9. Your right there is no way for one person to handle some of that big stuff you would hurt yourself. Just incorporate some way to tie things off inside if they will stay on wheels so nothing shifts or an easy way to get them on and off dollies. All that big stuff gets heavy real fast when moving a lot of it, and it's much heaver putting it back in the trailer at the end of a day. A few of the cheap plastic tarps and some of the rubber straps would be a good idea to keep in the trailer in case the weather turns bad and you don't or can't get everything back in the trailer in time. That's where a little extra space could come in handy, also a tool box with all your handy repair and miscellaneous Roadie stuff ? Maby even a nice dollie/handtruck to roll stuff across grass or through doors or what ever you have to to get where you will set up.....just guessing you just can't grab and walk with even some of the small stuff, might as well work smart you " ant no spring chicken anymore " . [] I better stop or you will need an 18 wheeler ! [:|]
  10. That's a good deal, are they a sponsor or they will do some sound work also. I looked around that site and couldn't find anything except that it's a BIG event. I love to see Jazz supported like that, we need more things like this.
  11. I was looking at the 6' wide because of the MWM's, I eventually plan to take them out and let them play, like parties or the beach or park ? Right now I use a car battery, T-amp and portable Cd player and they sound good and surprisingly loud for what powers them. Pull up, pull them out connect battery and let it rip, couldn't be easier no power needed. [Y].....Now it's not the kind of rig both of you use but will run circles around anything else battery powered or any car boom box. How you been doing Mr Bill.
  12. How about a real challenge a pic of the Jubs with your wife standing there smiling ! [][]
  13. Michael is that you or is that Klipsch ? I remember you saying something about a Jazz thing you were doing but I didn't think it was that big ?
  14. Good luck and take a few pic's.[Y]
  15. That is really some great pictures, it's rare to get that kind of shot without going thru a bunch of trouble with a blind or a way to hide and be out in the weather for long periods of time. It also looks like you have a perfect angle for where they happen to be, you must be living right !
  16. Looks like fun, so that's Thump Jr [H], nice to be doing something together and learning a little safety at the same time. [Y] I know he thinks dad has a cool job, every young dude loves speakers !
  17. Just some ideas, ( OK a bunch) go look at some trailers in person, 5x8 is small. A double axle trailer makes it much more stable when loading if not connected and you don't have to worry as much about balancing the load to not have to much tung load. Most double axle trailers start at #5500 load and usually are built a littler heaver. A 1/2 truck like yours can easily pull a 6x10 or 6x12 trailer. Another thing is if you really want to be safe electric brakes are very handy when someone pulls out in front of you and you have to stop in a hurry. I don't mean to keep piling it on but that side door you don't want is very handy for loading big things, you don't have to crawl over everything to get out and makes it easy to get to the little stuff that can be put in the front of the trailer, don't worry about security most of those side doors are at least as safe as the back doors. I have been looking at them for a while now it's the only reason I say all of this. I was looking at a 6x12 with the V front for less drag while pulling. Trailers are like garages you will always wish you had one a little bigger. []
  18. A pic from our local fire dept fireworks show they put on every year in a pasture, pull up and watch, it last about 40 minutes.
  19. Dee you would be surprised how easy it is, all you do is set a cutting torch as if you were ready to burn/cut metal and tap the tip of the torch on something flat and the flame goes....your ready, perfect mixture. [6] Many years ago I was a shipfitter in a shipyard. Plastic ziplock or garbage bags are somewhat safe if static electricity don't set it off, balloons are really easy also, with a plastic nothing to fly thru the air and hit anyone..........just a guess......oh and it does not have to be acetylene, my torch at home is propane and oxygen, it only requires a different tip on the torch to burn propane and is much cheaper and last much longer.....just a guess. [:|]
