  1. VERY NICE!!! and much like m00n's setup, you have something you should be extremely proud of. it boggles my mind how "audiophiles" don't recognize klipsch as the quality product we know and love. you could have spent thousands more and NEVER come close to the sound you are enjoying! congratulations!

  3. get some silk ivy ( a bunch of it) and cover the top of your tv. it is AMAZING how this stuff improves WAF. i have just about every piece of equipment i own covered in the stuff. sure it may degrade your sound somewhat, but it is not noticeable to me. another idea is to build an entertainment center. i built one for my ht & created one custom speaker for my fronts with some wood and speaker fabric. now it seems to be one speaker across the front.
  4. you can never have too many klipsch! i use the rb5ii's in my 2 channel & they sound sweet.
  5. must agree. i have the 4.1 as well. i listen while i work and when friends come over, they are amazed that my computer blows their ht away! makes it easy to sell hand me down gear.
  6. i have the yamaha c920 and the denon dvm 4800. both sound terrific.
  7. yes sir. i've been away at the beach and just got the message. i sent you a reply.
  8. jump on it. they go way low. and for $250, probably a good deal!
  9. i just e-mailed jolida praising 2ch home theater. when you have it set up right, the imaging is perfect without having 3,4,5, or even 6 more speakers. although i have a ht in the basement which i absouletly love, there is a lot to be said for QUALITY 2 ch ht. plus i have my rb-5ii's and the jolida atop the entertainment center (so my wife is happy), and the sub behind the chair (so my wife is happy). the sound is awesome (so i am happy). and the ONLY thing you see is the dvd player (so my wife is happy). when all these factors meet, my wife is happy which makes for peaceful living.
  10. the denon will do a fine job as a preamp. it is a great unit. after all it's got those great dacs. i used a marantz then a yamaha as my preamp for years until i finally broke down for the ref 50. happy listening. you'll be pleased.
  11. there are several options. i actually have the kv-3 which is one of the matches for the 5.2. i am not using it and would let it go for $100 obo.
  12. sure it'll work. why don't you get wharfdale's to match everything else. you know once you get your hands dirty w/klipsch you'll end up selling the wharfdales and going all klipsch!
  13. THANKS FOR THIS THREAD!!! now my sig won't be near as painful to read!
  14. the 200.7 will absolutely blow your mind. although the denon is a fine piece of equipment, when you hook up that amp you will begin to enjoy your system like never before. you will be able to turn it up so loud your ears will bleed and the 200.7 will beg you to turn it up louder. the 200.7 will work effortlessly and the denon will only have to process sound. with that being said, although the sound will be better than ever before with the denon, if you move forward eventually into separates utilizing a true preamp like the ref 50 (or lexicon, krell, rotel, etc.), your listening experience will be taken to yet another level.
  15. yamaha, marantz, and b&k all 3 do 5,6,7, and in yamaha's case, 8 channel stereo.
  16. i had the rxv3000 and the dspa1 before i went separates. i wasn't displeased, i just wanted to try something different. yamaha makes a good product.
  17. no wonder i trashed my marantz and yamaha. i am amazed at the clarity and power of my separates setup!
  18. could you use 4 rather than 2? you could maximize your listening by doing it the best way x2. i've got a pretty sweet outdoor setup and can tell you by experience you will maximize your listening pleasure by having them on the same wall. you have a great opportunity to setup an outdoor listening experience which others will never have. wish i could put 4 sa-1's outside!
  19. ever thought about tubes. underwoodhifi.com carries some sweet jolida's with mods.
  20. justin, on the new 5.1 ultra: can i hook it up as the a/v center for tv & dvd? i'm trying to put together something for my folks & they don't want to spend a fortune. what i see initially is an opportunity for this to be their main setup. they primarily watch tv. they want something small & unobstrusive. what do you think?
