Mike Lindsey
Anyone know of a nice stand that will work for Heresy's? I'm thinking 18" - 24" so they are at ear level while sitting on the couch. These will be used for surrounds. The other prerequisite is they have to be aesthetically nice. Appreciate any and all input. Mike
Cal Blacksmith
I have my Quartets on stands that look like these though I can't say that they are exactly the same. They are stable and work well though I don't think I would put that much weight that high if there were small children around.
Boomzilla
My buddy did this with some "bookshelf speaker" stands. He doesn't have to deal with critters or kids, so it works OK. The speakers are against a back wall, and lose a little bass because they don't have the floor proximity, but he compensates with the (cough, cough) "tone control." Works OK for him. Mike Lindsey
I'm not worried about the bass since these are surrounds, and everything under 100 hz is being sent to the subwoofer. Appreciate the responses so far. Anybody else tried anything else? Mike
lakedmb
So hanging them on the wall is out? Picky, I believe, has a pair hanging in his garage. These aren't the prettiest, but they will hold a Heresy firmly. http://www.speakerstandsonline.com/Lovan-L-JA3BB-9618-LV1024.html

cyclonecj
I have had mine up like this for many years, & they have never come down. The box is 4' tall. If I had to do it over again, I would only go 3' high.
