Cal Blacksmith
Yep, we have the owners manual written by the manufacturer, you have guesses based on what you would like to beleave. With that I think we all know where each other stand. That said, I refer to the post pinned to the top of General Forums written by our moderator with what content should not be discussed here. link

It was a informative post up until then.
Islander
I saw one once before that was similar however when it returned to Earth it continued into the microscopic level to I believe an atom. If it's the video I'm thinking of, it came out around 1980 and was called We Are Born of Stars, since all the elements, including the ones we're made of, were formed by nuclear fusion in the cores of stars. JJkizak
Both arguments are correct. God created the Universe 6000 years ago with all imperical data and all previous occurances of evolution intact dating back to the big bang 14 billion years ago. Just imagine the timeline in a circle in all dimensions surrounding the big guy and then he can follow the timeline from start to finish. The timeline is perfect as He is perfect. He then waves his hand and says "OK, lets start here at a point some 13 billion years after the big bang and put it in motion. No religious person can argue this because he then would be admitting that God isn't perfect. JJK

Islander
I'd disagree. We are the sole "intelligent beings" that God have created in this vast universe of black holes, stars and empty spaces. And yet the universe is less than 6000 year-old. First, not having met or seen any other "intelligent beings" doesn't mean there aren't any. Tribesmen living on a remote island here on Earth might well think the same thing, because that fit all the evidence available to them, but they'd be wrong. Our Lord did mention that He had "other sheep in other folds", but He didn't specify whether those "other folds" were in this solar system or even in this galaxy.Second, basing the age of the universe on adding up all the ages of the patriarchs in the Bible seems really medieval, because that's when that idea got started, an era when some people and some governments believed in witches. Galileo ended his days under house arrest because he disagreed with authorities who held similar ideas, but we know now that Jupiter is another world, with the moons that Galileo discovered (along with many more) spinning around it. Do you think all the pictures of the planets are somehow faked by heretics?Even as conservative an authority as the Vatican is willing to look at modern concepts of the Universe and has its own astronomers. They pardoned Galileo a while back, you may recall. As well, it must have been hard to reckon time before calendars were invented. Europeans were getting their years mixed up as late as 1400. Best current knowledge indicates that Christ was born in 4 BC, not on Christmas Eve of 1 BC, or would it have been 1 AD?

ZAKO
You mean God created the universe 13.6 billion years ago to amuse Himself and then realized that He made a mistake because He forgot to create mankind? I thought God don't make mistake. The Univers is 13.6 billion yrs young and ageing nicely.. Some others here need to go back to 1st grade & start over,, He? He?,,,, God has no gender,,,And if you think your made in his image,,,That proves he made a mistake,,,A big BoBo,,, Remember the beautiful Dinasors walked this earth before 65 million yrs,,, The screwball bishop that took it upon himself to proclaim a beginning date of creation was not even educated in Anthropoligy or Geology or Cosmology,, Theology was but a guessing of what was said,,Depending on Imperical writting in different languages of the time,,

neo33
Yes, you are both right. And Satan created both of you in IT image. Your statement is not factual and you have no evidence to back it up other then the Bible is "flawed" which is not proof. Why don't you guys heed Amy's advice and stop the nonsense. God did not create man in his image, a very egotistical mankind created god in its image. Never a truer word was uttered.

I agree it doesn't belong in this forum, but you brought the nonsense here. The original post was an excellent video there was no need for religion to be brought into the forum.
