picky
What the heck it is with all of the spam our forum seems to get every Sunday morning from supposed drug sellers? Time for our web master to perform a little "membership housekeeping" me thinks. Stupid spammers!! -Glenn
sputnik
It's already been pointed out. No pun intended. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/141282.aspx
fini
Annoying, yes, but sooo convenient having a "one stop shopping" experience here at the Klipsch forum, where I can read about crossover designs and get my "male enhancement" and whatever else that crap is. Ugh!

fini
Yeah, but you have to be into bi-wiring.
SWL
I just hope the next Klipsch gathering doesn't include any "male enhancements".
Groomlakearea51
This guy is clever... He has basically hacked the system in such a way that it's impossible to find his point of origin (IP). He has made sure that any attempt to find him leaves no trace and always ends up at the website for whom he's advertising. I could do it, but don't work for Klipsch, etc. The main website even had the unmitigated gall to have a picture of a US Marine veteran in the header photo.... F-Secure (program I use) lists the so called site as "harmful", etc. so I cannot get there anymore without risk to my system. Just checked again and Buy100Real500Mg2897's user ID is gone. Where the main site came up was by looking at his website or blog when looking at the user listing. This guy is not going to give up. There seems to be either a flaw in the forum program that allows a user to substitute an html link for a user name, or this guy knows how to hack that program. That "glitch" is what's causing the problem and why it's so difficult to track him down and remove his body parts for scientific experiments regarding male enhancements. In his case the enhancement should be a "modification"..... [H]
Groomlakearea51
One of the"bad guys" for the Canadian Phrmacy scam is a company called "bulker.biz". See: http://spamtrackers.eu/wiki/index.php/Canadian_Family_Pharmacy http://spamtrackers.eu/wiki/index.php/Category:Yambo_family Interesting Notes: Yambo Financials is the chosen name of a criminal spam organization thought to be linked directly to Alex Polyakov, at this writing the #1 spamming individual in the known world. Yambo Financials have remained a top spamming gang and operate completely illegally, hacking into public servers and taking them over for the purposes of web hosting, image hosting and DNS services. They are responsible for several custom-written Unix exploits which run stealth versions of an http and DNS server, as well as cloak their existence to several law enforcement and spam investigation organizations, as well as several credit card companies. They are most recognized for their ubiquitous My Canadian Pharmacy fake and illegal pharmacy websites. They have been linked directly to several serious crimes including the sale and distribution of child pornography, sale of 100% fake pharmaceutical products usually distributed from India (but always claiming to be from Canada) and numerous server hijacks and other trojan or virus exploits. Complete lists of actual members of this group are scarce, and so far the only website featuring any of this information, or collating any references to this group, is Spamhaus. Names listed there include Yegor G. Bugaenko, brothers Anton Denysenko and Sergey Denisenko, and Christina Reese. International law enforcement entities are well aware of this organization and its activities, and continue to investigate and track down its members and operatives. Amy: Klipsch IT needs to look at this data: http://spamtrackers.eu/wiki/index.php/Alex_Polyakov Best I can do for the moment. GLA51
fini
What the heck it is with all of the spam our forum seems to get every Sunday morning from supposed drug sellers? Hmm, every Sunday morning...I would be suspicious of any kid who decides to stay home from church. Folks, when you leave the house, disable the computer. OTOH, perhaps this poster is just having a hard time inserting pictures on the forum (a notorious problem for many), and accidentally pushed a few wrong buttons on his keyboard. mungkiman
Good thing my dog doesn't know there's Cialis for pets, although he did recently get an offer for a credit card. Hmmm...

Islander
Then there are phishers. I recently got a number of calls at 3-minute intervals showing as "number unavailable" with no-one talking, then someone finally did talk. He claimed to be from "Virtual PC Doctor" and started his spiel, but I was already annoyed and yelling by then, so he hung up pretty quickly. When I Googled that name, it turned up lots of reports of scammers hitting Australian and UK phone numbers and directing victims to send their personal info (along with money) to the scammers' website to ensure their PCs would continue operating properly. Maybe they've become widely known in those markets are now trying out North Americans in order to look for fresh victims.
