Pete H
It's 5:15 in the moring and the ice is falling in N.E. Ohio. The truck already looks like a big ice cube. I keep telling myself that we're one day closer to spring.

Pete H
I miss the coast of South Carolina, that's for sure. I'm supposed to be coming to Florida for a golf trip in March, I just wish it was March[]
indyhawg
A little over an inch of ice covers my driveway right now. It looks like more is on its way later today.

Boxx
The cold and ice gave me an unexpected day off today.... Nobody around here knows how to drive on the ice.... best to stay off the roads, if you can.
Moderators dtel Posted February 1, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2011 don't remind me...it's 53 degrees outside now...brrrrrrrrrrr! I know what you mean it's 60 here and windy with rain, I almost had to put a shirt on to go outside. For everyone North and East were sending you some humidity and rain which you can add to your temps to make a big mess............SORRY. CECAA850
It's certainly not as cold here as the rest of the country but in Houston this morning, it dropped 20 degrees in 17 minutes. We're supposed to get to the mid to low 20's tonight. Time to cover and turn on the pool pump!
RT FAN
We've had over 4 feet of snow so far this winter here in NYC. On the bright side February is the snowiest month here in the north east. Spring seems pretty far away from where I sit.
Pete H
Time to cover and turn on the pool pump! If we get more ice as expected and loose power (usually happens during these events), I might have to bore through the ice on my pool to get water to flush the toilet, so you're not getting any sympathy from me.[] Or, I'll just fire up the generator and it will be business as usual.[:$] You don't think I would be without my tunes and HT, just because of a power outage did you? CECAA850
Mine is natural gas also. I got it for hurricanes, but we've been out of power for 3 days due to ice on the power lines. It's rarer than hurricanes, but it can happen.

CECAA850
I've never lived "north of the border" but I did spend a good portion of my life in upstate New York. I don't miss the cold a bit.

I got mine (a Cummins) this summer because Pepco (MD) has too many power outages. Where do you live, Pete?
