homeskizzle
Last night, I drove from Greenville SC to Atlanta GA (with Labor Day Weekend traffic no less!) and picked up a pair of La Scalas. They are so much more full and real sounding than my previous speakers! It's like I'm at the game! Yeah, I am just starting to build my HT. My equipment is all mismatched right now based on my budget, but the journey has begun...and I think that La Scalas are an excellent start to a Heritage HT. I'm still working on placement and am considering moving the right LS into the corner and seeing how I like that sound. Scott

Quiet_Hollow
Congrats Scott! Excellent choice for a foundation to build a HT from. Cheers, QH
derrickdj1
Nice pickup and enjoy the journey! This is my favorite time of year since I am a big college football fan, go Buckeyes! Oh, they are on probation, lol.

Coytee
The evening news sounds so much better as well! [] LaScalas are perhaps the best bang for your buck place to build your HT!
homeskizzle
Thanks for the encouragement everybody! Once I gather funds, I'm thinking my next step will probably be a receiver upgrade (something that has preouts because my current receiver doesn't) or true separates. I'd like to pick up a third LS for a center down the road. It's definitely overkill for my current space, but my location is temporary. Moderators dtel Posted September 1, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 1, 2012 I think that La Scalas are an excellent start to a Heritage HT. Welcome Well I would have to say Y E S a great start, good choice. have fun and take your time it's much better to go slow and get what you really want and only buy once, it's much cheaper in the long run. K5SS
Time for a mans sub next. You will be amazed by the hidden low-end content a quality sub will bring out. Nice additions BTW!
Thaddeus Smith
yes, space those puppies out and experience REAL imaging in your speakers. welcome!
runninshine
I agree, I've used the Forte, Chorus and KG5.5 and nothing comes close to the LS. A 15" woofer for the low end and my HT sounds nice. I just need to find a single LS for a center....my Academy has a hard time keeping up. Turbox
You two can split a set. [Y]

homeskizzle
Question...there are a few LSI La Scalas only a few hours from me in Wintstom Salem NC. They currently are in the Garage sale part of the Forum. Would one of those mate well with my current LS or do the LSI need to be mated with other LSI only? Quiet_Hollow
The LSI will sound just fine with your current rig, no problem. "Looking" fine with your current rig may be an issue OTOH, depending on your level of feng shui. []
