CHASLS2
Looks like my Pioneer Elite AVR went poof. Heard a pop and it's dead. It will power back on but only for about 3 secs then it shuts off. Hope there is a good Elite service center around the Tampa FL area.

derrickdj1
Best Buy is an authorized service center for Pioneer. Good luck with the repair. I don't like hearing things like this since I also have an SC 35.
CHASLS2
Not sure what i will do. It could end up costing too much to bother with repair. I could always go with a cheaper AVR and a Emotiva amp.
SuBXeRo
such an awesome excure to hop into separates , check out the outlaw audio+receiver comboson their site. Personally, i think the UMC-1 is a good lil guy paired up with my outlaw 7125. Highly recommend it.
Mongo171
When my AVR went poof, that was enough of an excuse for me to go to separates. Good luck in your decision.
CECAA850
No serviceable fuses or resetable breakers anywhere?
Quiet_Hollow
Very likely a cap or resistor somewhere in a relay / latch circuit or in the power supply.
CHASLS2
No.
Budman
my local pioneer service center charges $25 to find out whats wrong and deducts that amount when you let them fix it. my elite receiver had no sound and just needed a resolder. they said it was heat buildup and the solder cracked.
