Sheriff hadn't cleaned up the town and one could get mugged even in the most innocent of situations. The sound of saloon piano could be heard echoing from endless stretches of brightly lit doorways that called to the naive to enter and join the game. Took me a while to learn to carry a boot pistol and sleeve knife...[] It's much more civilized now since the sheriff started making everyone check their weapons at the URL and ran out the blasted parrots and such, and tolerant of anything except good words for Bose or comments about the "edgeiness" of horns.
