It's a good source of solid copper, cheaper than most connectors made for wire. However, humble disclaimer aside, the Russian PIO's are a great bang for the buck. You also have to remember that Paul Klipsch himself designed the speakers using PIO's. The story as I understand it is that at the end of World WAR II he bought a railroad freight car load of surplus military caps and used them for years afterwords. I use the can type for the crossovers, and the greenies shown in MechEegVic's pictures above are great for replacing bumble bee caps.
