Mongo171
Does anyone have experience with these? I am thinking of getting one.
Scrappydue
I have seen one in real life and it is awesome looking! However I wanted the pb model for two reasons. First being I could have cherry to match my stuff, second being I have read multiple places you get a little bit more output on the very low end. Now if I could do it again I would prolly save 800$ on a set and buy them then I would never have to worry about my kid driving hot wheels on them. The match in cherry is not exact which drives me crazy. But I can vouch for the ultra line that it is a powerhouse.
Mongo171
Thnx Scrappydue, What drew me to the PC was the fact I only have 1 place to put a sub. And it isn't that big. Scott
Scrappydue
Yeah it doesn't take up near the space that the box version does. And after seeing one I love the cylinder look.
Mongo171
They are unique looking and, I have heard, the covering is pretty indestructable.
CECAA850
I had one (and a PB 12+2) several years ago. It's a nice sub. The single band PEQ was a nice touch too.

CECAA850
No cats to scratch them and no kids to tip them over. You'd be OK with kids. They've got a REALLY low center of gravity.

That's good to know. From the pics on their website, it doesn't look like much of a base that all that weight stands on.
CECAA850
The driver is in the bottom of the tube facing down. It's by far the heaviest part of the assembly. The amp is about mid way up but no where near as heavy as the driver.

Mongo171
If this is your first real sub, you're in for a treat. Except for my KT-SW and a dual-15" car sub I built years ago, this will be my first real sub. I can't wait to relisten to everything with a sub that goes below 35Hz. wuzzzer
My first real sub was an SVS PC-Plus 16-46. Sucked for music but awesome for HT. Then I had two SVS CS-Ultras powered by a 1000 watt pro amp. Holy cow. That was a fun setup. You will love your PC13-Ultra.
