TasDom
Here's the backside of mine prior to completion, I can picture those on the back side of wakejunkie's cabinet under his screen. Edited January 4, 2014 by Tasdom
SuBXeRo
Did you cover the subs on the top and sides just to keep some dust out? I have to build little enclosures for my new in ceilings so the insulation and dust doesn't get in the drivers
SuBXeRo
I think your IB setup is one of the coolest I've seen for home audio. You have a good home design for it

CECAA850
I think your IB setup is one of the coolest I've seen for home audio. You have a good home design for it Thanks! The biggest problem to that build was that I had to drag the drivers from one side of my house, over the living room to where they were mounted. I spent so much time up there I built a platform to work off of.
CECAA850
HERE'S a pic after bracing, wiring and insulation. For some reason I can't post a pic from photobucket. It won't allow a .bmp attatchment, whatever that is. there's pics of my build there also if you search under cecaa850. EDIT looks like the search function is temporarily screwed up over there too. psg
Load it in any image program (e.g. paint) and SAVE AS a jpeg file. In Linux, I'd do: $ gm convert file.bmp file.jpg Edited January 4, 2014 by psg
CECAA850
The problem is I'm over my picture limit and can't post anything from my computer, it has to be a link to photobucket which is where i ran into the problem. Does the above still apply?
psg
Upload jpg format to photobucket. bmp files are huge anyway, a waste of storage for you and of bandwidth for everyone else.

babadono
To the OP and others who are intrigued by this google "the Cult of the Infinitely Baffled". There's a ton of ways to put bass in the ceiling. Carl "Carlooch" turned me on to this. Thanks Carl. Still working on the WAF. Eric

CECAA850
Still working on the WAF. They have one of the highest WAF factors out there. Any type of acoustically transparent material can be used as a cover. You also get better room WAF as there's no sub there anymore. YOU CAN DO IT!! The Dude
So. Don't fire it down. Suspend a folded horn in the rafters and open the mouth through the ceiling. Inverted version of mounting your sub in the basement and firing it through the floor. Build a proper grill and most might not even notice it there. This could be a great idea, I might have to look into this. Would this work.

If it were in the corner I'd say yes, but centered firing down, I'm not sure. Maybe Drwho will chime in.

McMiRA
I've used them in cars in the past with success. Just never heard one in a room.
